My day has been this big weird blur of exhaustion and rain! (And joy- I worked today with the four year olds, and got called "pretty teacher" and "beautiful teacher" no less than four times. I DON'T CARE IF THEY'RE LITTLE A COMPLIMENT IS A COMPLIMENT.) So here is a big giant awesome meme.

My favorite song ever of all time is Edelweiss. When I was a little girl, I would go to preschool and sing it every. single. day. And even now, when I was thinking about my favorite song, I was agonizing over my decision- Elton John! ABBA! Bear McCreary!- and then an ad for The Sound of Music came on TV because it's playing this weekend on ABC Family and it was like a magical bolt of inspirational lightning. It makes my heart swell up with joy and a pride of my nonexistant Austrian heritage.

JUST LISTEN TO IT. It's amazing.

it is Enchanted! Which I didn't really like, ultimately, because she got with Dempsey, gross! But Iiiiii love Amy Adams.

How foolish, I can't believe I didn't recognize her! Also shut up Dempsey is awesome.

Dempsey and I are doomed never to get along! We are foes, 'tis a fierce foedom that exists between us.

Why?

It mostly just goes back to McDreamy, and how I hate him a lot. Like, my feelings toward Jack Shepherd ... are full of love and adoration when stood up against McDreamy. I JUST HATE HIM. I get that I only watched Grey's for like ten episodes in season two, but I don't even care, I just hate that guy! And now Dempsey will forever exude weird slimy grossness to me.

That is so sad. Patrick Dempsey, and his fine head of hair, is totally awesome.

Sidebar: Have you ever seen The Heart of Me? I watched it today and looooathed it, but I couldn't turn it off because Olivia Williams is AMAZING. Which isn't a surprise at all, but I wanted so bad to end the infernal thing and I couldn't, due to her fantasticalness.

Yes I have! Oh my God, that movie was like torture. I don't like being forced to anything-less-than-adore Helena Bonham Carter, but WHY WOULD YOU BE SO MEAN TO OLIVIA WILLIAMS. THAT'S JUST GROSS. I'M LOOKING AT YOU, TOO, PAUL BETTANY!

Fortunately, they have occasionally been more happily wed. (Skip to like 2:12!)

Right? I was like HBC I love you but what is this? I hated them both. But Olivia Williams was spectacular. Even Netflix thought so, it said so on the sleeve the divid came in.

Wise DVD sleeve! Olivia Williams is never not spectacular; it's wonderful.

I wish I had Netflix. I mean, if I did get Netflix, it would be the official end of my life because I would never do anything else. But it sounds amazing.

I only get one at a time, so it doesn't take over my life unless there are things available for instant view, like... the first seven seasons of SVU. I literally spent all of October 2008 watching SVU. I believe all of the Office is on there, so I keep considering starting that, but then... Dollhouse happened.

Any other Olivia Williams films you recommend? I have Rushmore on my queue already, as I had been meaning to see that for, oh, a decade now, but what other delights would tickle my fancy?

ALSO WHEN IS MR DOMINIC COMING BACK?

I have not seen NEARLY ENOUGH of them, because they are hard to get ahold of! Like, you can't buy them at Fred Meyer. (My resources are limited.) Born Romantic is magnificent because it is a British romcom wherein Craig Ferguson woos her with salsa dancing. Miss Austen Regrets is also great, because, um, suck it, Anne Hathaway, Olivia Williams is the perfect Austen actress!

Mr. Dominic comes back in 2x10 and 2x11! NOT ENOUGH, but that goes without saying. What episode are you on now?

What is this Fred Meyer?

ALSO WAS THAT MOVIE MADE WHEN THEY WERE DATING? That would add such a level of joy to it.

So... really... Mr Dominic is in like, seven episodes. This upsets me greatly.

You don't know what Fred Meyer is? Is it just a west coast thing? God, sometimes the vastness of THE WORLD confuses me. Anyway! It's a grocery store chain!

I think maybe they got together when they made it? Or something? IT WOULD MAKE SENSE!

THAT UPSETS US ALL GREATLY. He is extra-wonderful in his season two appearances, but in a way that makes the pain all the more painful, because it's like, why was this dude not around all the time? Tragic sigh. At least he came back for s2 at all, I totally was not dreaming big enough to expect him to!
