1) Who changed the Fantanas? I know they did (*weeps*) but why do they keep showing commercials? I don't want this new skanky Fantanas, I want my skanky Fantanas!

2) The Gilmore Girls are taking over my brain.

3) How did Rory become valedictorian (or the valid victorian) over Paris? It seems just so ridiculous.

4) Talladega Nights was hysterical. Really. It seemed really, really long, but when it was funny, man was it funny.

5) Finally got a meal plan, which means that school-wise, aside from books, I am ready to go. My god.

6) Books. Are. So. Expensive.

7) I am probably not going to get my spanish class ever.

Today I was supposed to go out with Talisa but she got shanghaied, so I watched more Gilmore Girls. I have the season finale of Season three, and then I'll be caught up there, but I have the third disc of Season One to contend with. So, so confusing.

I watched like, a hundred episodes of Gilmore Girls today. At least ten. I happen to be watching seasons one, three and four concurrently, through no fault of my own. ABCFamily used to have Season Three on, and we set the Non-TiVo thing to record what we missed while on vacation. Now ABCFamily is airing Season Four, so I'm watching that, and Netflix is providing me with Season One. I am now completely lost and everything's mixing together but it's all a bunch of fun.

Also, I love my mother.

Mom: Madi, you have to come see this.
Me: I'm watching Gilmore Girls, dammit.
Mom: No. You really need to come see this..
Me: Ma!
Mom: Come!
Me: *goes*
Oprah: *talks about this happy couple from Peru.*
Me: Oh, this'll be good.
Mom: Shh, they're building up. I already saw it.
Oprah: *continues, and the woman goes into the labor, and there is PUTRID GREEN SMELLY STUFF coming from her lady bits*
Me: It's like the X-Files! I love it! Oh man!
Mom: JUST WAIT.
Me: *waits anxiously*
Oprah: *reveals that the baby was born AS A MERMAID! Cojoined legs and stuff! It was so cool!*
Me: Oh, man, Mom, this is AWESOME!
Mom: I knew you'd love this!

Also, Nica convinced me, so I sent emails to my roommates. Yeehaw. I got my map out and am now circling things I know, like my dorm. And one of the places where my class will be. Hot dog.

ETA: One of my roommates just emailed me back! Yay!

I have hereby declared this month to be July. Still. Forever. Not because I have any particular fondness for the month of July, or because I'm in denial about my imminent departure to adulthood, but because Nadia is Miss July on my Alias calendar and I feel like I missed her all month, and August is Eric Weiss. And while I have lost the ire I felt towards him before, I still don't want to trade Nadia to Eric. Therefore, in my bedroom, it's still *July* (duh, fingers).

Also, I am very mad at ABCFamily. I have not yet seen enough episodes of the Gilmore Girls to qualify as a Gilmore Girls Guru, but give me some time, ABCF! I could do it, dammit! Why didn't ABC ever ask for like, an Alias Oracle or something? Goddammit, I can answer everything about that damn show, and I could've won a trip for four to LA to see filming! And I would've been like, beyond ecstatic. Also, I hate that while I was entering said sweepstakes that I had to register with ABC Family website, and they were like, member names nazis.

Although really, it turns out you don't really need to do anything to enter, which makes me sad. I wanted to prove myself!

I got a letter from UF saying that my room is a temporary triple, which is interesting. I still haven't contacted my roommates because I'm a coward. Completely. Sigh.

Being a grown-up is boring. All I did today was go to the dry cleaners and to the bank (to put money in my accounts and order checks.) And then I came home and the first disc of Season One of the Gilmore Girls was here.

I am, for some reason tired, so that's why I'm not going all crazy and ranting about GG, which I had every intention of doing, believe you me. So rest assured that I like it. Even though Rory sometimes annoys me extensively. I looove Lorelai, and I love Papa Gilmore and Emily. And Sookie! I hate that her name is Sookie more than I can tell you, but I love her!

I don't want to go up to NY and not have any internet. I don't.

I would like to start this entry by saying I miss those days where I actually did things. Even if those things were only going to school. At least they were things. Yesterday I watched the Germany/Italy game and today I watched the Portugal/France one. And all I can say is, yaaaay Italy and France! I am going to have problems tomorrow watching it, because while I love France with all my heart, the only hot player on the team is Zidane, who I could never marry because he would ruin my objective of moving up in the alphabet.

Today I went with my dad to the dry cleaners and to lunch. That is seriously it. Other than that, the notable events in my day have consisted of watching the Gilmore Girls on ABC Family. It's the beginning of Season Three, but it's fine, because zingers need no background, and it's not too hard. My main problem seems to be that I can find no redeeming qualities to Jess. I'm looking for them, I swear! But today he was mean to Luke! And I like Luke! Not as much as I like Lorelai, but still!

Um, ficathon is due in about two weeks, and I haven't written anything in about that length of time, and while I'm over the word limit, I am no where near done. Anywhere. Not in the vicinity.

Also, IB exam scores are out tomorrow, and it kind of makes me sick to think about. Those numbers are my entire high school career in a nutshell. A very small nutshell that decides whether or not those numbers add up to give me my diploma. Sweet heavenly god.

ETA: Um, apparently IB scores come out at all different times! How exciting. I've heard about four people receiving it, which makes me feel better, but oh man. It's so much more real.
