My cat Boo Boo got hit by a car this evening and died. He was around eight years old and was running across the street to come home for dinner. Two guys came to the door and asked my parents if they had a grey cat. They had taken him off the road so that he wouldn't get hurt.

This is the second pet I've ever had that has died- and when the first one died, my mom made such a big deal about it that it was practically a relief to hear that the bird had died and not a family member. And they're burying him tomorrow and I'm never going to see him again- a cat that would come when you called for him and who would raise his head if I asked him if he wanted a kiss.

And he didn't suffer, which is great, and I'm happy about that, but he didn't deserve this.

I'd like to thank everyone for your hugs and nice things. They made me feel better, really.

Today we had the pep rally for the Gators for their win and championship etc. When I talked my mom, they had already buried Boo Boo in the backyard and I had to hang up before she started crying and I did too. After the pep rally we went to brunch at the dining hall, where I got pancakes with whipped cream (faaaabulous) and then we came back and watched "A Dark Turn." Oh, SpyRents. How you make my life whole.

Then Katie's brother came, and we watched a swim meet, and Chloe's right: swimmers have rocking bodies. 100% yum. Three UF events at two days (gymnastics meet, pep rally, swim meet), so I am obviously an awesome Gator fan. Yay me.

Now I'm going to snuggle up and watch some more Firefly.
