So, Mom left this morning and is gone until the 25th and that makes me so sad. Like, she left for a legitimate reason- her mom is still recovering from the accident she had back in August, Mom misses her mother, her sisters need support, etc.- but I'm a big baby and want my own mommy here, so I'm miserable.

In other news, the drama kids that were going to LA left this morning, too, so in drama we had a sub and we got to watch Grease. Honestly, it was awesome. And then for our "work" we did this Venn's diagram comparing Rydell High to Reef. And it was hysterical. I mean, how often do you get write "students do not burst into spontaneous acts of choreographed dance-and-song routines- but we should" for a school assignment? Never- but we should.

This viewing of Grease made me re-remember how much I love Rizzo. She is the best, most complex character in that movie. She's bitchy and tough and vulnerable and omg huge fangirl squee.

Rizzo is my absolute favorite character in the movie. I just adore her! And "Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee" is probably my favorite song. I karaoked it once at Madame Tussaud's Museum of Wax in NY. Sooo awesome.

This is rather coincidental, tonight on my way home, I was listening to a Grease mega mix! Hee hee.

Rizzo kinda reminds me of Xena. And Lucy played her on Broadway once, actually, so I guess I'm not the only person who thinks that.

LA Los Angeles. And the reasons are these: I have five zillion things due in the next month, and the trip was really, really expensive. And I just went last year to NYC on a class trip, and then this summer we're planning on going to Europe, and I don't have a job. So, the LA trip was cut out.

Doesn't mean I'm not devastated.
