So, Chloe, Katie and I went to the Humane Society to volunteer.



I didn't cry, which I was pretty sure I would, but man. There were... I'd say twenty some dogs, but like, over a hundred cats. Kittens and young and adults and small and thin and fat and enormous, and most of them were so, so sweet. And a lot of black cats, which annoys me so much. Cats that are sweet shouldn't be discriminated against because of some dumb superstition.

Hardy, he stayed on my lap a lot.

Matrix. Katie, Chloe and I took him out to play. Also, he's definitely not a lab, he's a newfie. I know this cause he looked just like Aunt Amy's Daisy May.

There are a lot more that I played with- a bunch of kittens, a litter of six puppies, a cat that I would've taken home with me in a second... and it was fun.

Chloe and Katie keep ganging up on me. Not like, being mean, but being snotty. It doesn't happen a lot, but it does happen, which I guess means we're getting more comfortable with one another. It's no fun, though.

I didn't see Taylor because she was a lameass.

Aww, cats. Sabrina the Teenage Witch inspired in me this insane desire to have a black cat someday, but alas, the whole extreme allergy thing thwarts it. Sigh.

Also, I was listening to The Decemberists, and reached the conclusion that you must have this song. It's all abstractly Alias-reminiscent and just reminds me of you.

Aww! Those places make me feel so sad. I want to take all the animals home with me and love them.

I have a black cat. She's a stuck up little thing but I still love her. Silly superstitions.

I thought it would make me sad, but it didn't. There were a lot of people there. Like, not enough, obviously, and it was still sad, but not horrible.

I volunteer at my animal shelter -- I walk the dogs every week. It breaks my heart, but it makes me feel proud that at least I'm doing what I can. There are easily 100 dogs there. One who I fell in love with got adopted a couple of weeks ago.

Are you going to go regularly or was it a one-time thing?
