Tranq-gun envy! Remember that?
Aug. 19th, 2004 07:30 pmCryssa, you are simply darling. GOM is a typo one of my friends (hannah? tess?) found while reading badfic. It was a typo for OMG. But GOM is infinitely more meaningful and amusing. Spread it around like wildfire!
Did my math homework- YAY! I UNDERSTOOD MOST OF IT! WHOOOO!- and earlier I was reading my old blog and I found my original Alias thoughts (well, original once I started watching it. My original original thoughts were (A) Oh no, I'm losing Nica to some TV show and then (B) BAH I HATE ALIAS!!11!!oneoneoneone!). This is back when Vaughn was Viv (because I decided Vaughn was too hard to type, so I started calling him Va Va Voom, because he was gorgeous, which shortened to VVV, which transformed into Viv, and occasionally I use that abbreviation in notes and whatnot) and Syd was being called 'Barb', short for SpyBarbie. And it was before I liked Sloane. Ugh. How gauche of me.
And now I will post them beneath my nifty LJ cut.
Short, short time online- I am in the midst of an Aliasathon, since I bought Seasons 1 & 2. I just finished the ep where Viv got Barb a frame for Christmas, and SpyDaddy and SpyBarb went to Cuba for something-or-other and now SpyDaddy is being forced to shoot Barb to prove his loyalty. However, I know SpyDaddy will persevere and save Syd... because that's what SpyDaddy does. :-)
~*~
Just finished Season one of Alias, which ended rather inauspiciously with Barb sitting back in the dentist from hell's chair again (not too worried, he of the bizarre hair, Will, knocked him off) and meeting the man, who appeared and made SpyBarb whimper, Mom?
Viv, of course, was this season's sacrificial lamb- last we saw him, he was in this Titanic-esque hallway of agua, so things aren't lookin' too good for our fave CIA agent. :-(
SpyDaddy, of course, was maintaining his cool. He is the most unflappable man EVER. I so want him to be my SpyDaddy. Not that I don't love my Daddy... I just want a SpyDaddy. He saved Will-Will.
Sloane, el bad dude who I liked for, eh, two episodes this season whilst he was being tortured by Quentin Tarantino (how could you say, with a straight face, that you were tortured by someone named Quentin? I am serious) a.k.a McKenas Cole, in the coolest strange character name since C.K. Dexter Haven in 'The Philadelphia Story', was poisoning his sweet little wifey Emily because... well, she knows about SD-6. Le gah.
I'm antsy to start Season 2, but my mom thinks watching 19 hours of TV straight isn't healthy. I insisted that showering, eating, sleeping and going to the eye doctor in between episodes does not constitute a straight 19 hours, but she won't relinquish.

Uncle Larry got me and the girls grenadine. We opened my Arbor Mist, which Katie sucked down without batting an eye and Mel glugged and then acted wasted as hell. I couldn't stand it, so I dumped my glass, and Mel and Kate made mimosas, and then Mel was drinking from every glass left unattended. It was pretty scary. I was on the final ep of Alias, so I basically demanding total silence. Wasn't working.
~*~
Is it wrong that I'm always more interested in what Syd's wearing than what she's doing? Is it wrong that I tease Rambaldi? That I giggle whenever Marshall enters a room because I love him so? That I melt when Vaughn appears? That I cheer SpyDaddy on, no matter what he's doing?
I mean, I've never been uber obsessed about a show before. Sure, I loved Xena, but I got into that show like whoa. Real fast. I've spent $123 on it from the git-go. How nuts am I?
Sigh.
I love the theme song. I swear, I downloaded it and now listen to it at ten minute intervals. if I were to have my way, at every commercial break, they would play the song. Then I could do the Alias dance... and all would be good. *nods* They have kick ass songs, too.
I wonder when Syd has time to shave her legs. And to go to the hair dresser. Must be a bitch to schedual 'em..
"Syd, you have to go to the ass crack of the world in fifteen minutes. good luck. "
"But I have a hair appointment..."
Or maybe there's like, an SD-6 salon. CIA salon. Either/or.
Everyone on that show loves Syd. I think it's her hair. She's got, to quote Marshall, "super-swank" hair. My intention is to get said hair and be super swank myself. And then make all the boys fall in love with me. Including Viv, hopefully.
~*~
It's been an inordinately long time since I blogged, and since then I have finished Alias (*sobs*), lost my bloody purpose for living (to watch Alias and exist happily on vacation) and cut my hair shoulder-length. It is not quite supah swank as of yet.
Have I told you of my tranq-gun envy? I've become obsessed with the word 'uber'. Viv makes me go all giggly and then melt, and Syd is my forking idol, dude. And, as always, my new years resolution is to exercise and to lose weight. Every. Freaking. Year.
My cousins and my uncle left, so now it's quiet. I went to the mall today and got a cute little Abercrombie jacket and FINALLY got my LancĂ´me Juicy Tubes. La la la, I love spending money. Hell, I love having money to spend. Which is why I need a SpyDaddy. So that he can make money appear out of no where.
I dread going back to school and having to speak french. Though I do like being able to understand when Viv speaks french, which makes me melt even faster than normal. The man is a forking GOD.
As you can see, all relates back to Alias now.
Nita is right, it's much more fun to be obsessed with a TV show than a movie. A movie, you get two hours, three hours tops with your characters. A TV show... things keep happening. It's a glorious thing. And when they release them to DVD...
Well, let's just say I worship the DVD gods.
~*~
God, I am like, the worst blogger ever. I totally threw off my own groove. Hm. Maybe it's the weather.
Anything new happened? Well, we went back to school. Happy joy. Today was Janelle's 16th birthday, hooray for her. I've been drawing < o > on every possible surface, including myself and other people, and writing kestimetruthta everywhere, just to see if it'll bug people. It hasn't, so far. Maybe they haven't noticed.
[...]
According to Heather, I am becoming more like her, and this I attribute to my 40+ hours of Alias. *nods* One must think like a SpyBarbie and act as one too.
Today at school, Philly asked innocently, Madi, who's Viv on Alias? Nearly died laughing, because as everyone knows, Viv is Vaughn. Well, apparently she didn't know, but I digress.
Played around with fire in chem today, which was fun. The fire turned pink and red and purple and green and it was all due to chemicals! Yay! I was scared of the fire. Bah, gas and flames are not my friends. They killed teh Syd!
Or not.
Hm.
Read 'Hindsight' again. Don't let me read it again today! Repeated reading of fics are uncool and most likely unhealthy mentally. Walked a mile today with Leslie Sansone. I love that woman.
"Have you ever stuck your finger in a koi pond?"
Have you? Inquiring minds, such as Michael Vartan, want to know. At least, he did on his commentary of 'Phase One'
Reading an Alias book from the library- it makes me laugh and laugh. Syd is FUNNY as a young spy! And Francie stays out of it! And she's in love with skeevy Noah, who later turns out to be a murderer! Syd suuuuuure knows how to pick 'em. A murderer, a murderee, and one who finds murderers. Or not. It was parallelism, I had to run with it.
~*~
Alias is on TONIGHT, guys. Meaning, like, 8:45? I am gone. I will not answer my phone, I will not care WHAT is happening outside of the TV screen, I will be watching my first televised episode of Alias, and I shall care NOT. Mwaha flippin ha.
~*~
I am SO excited right now. Because in one hour and fifty-four minutes, I will be sitting in front of the TV, lost in Alias-centric bliss.
And yes, I am serious.
I read Nita's Alias fic and was more than pleasantly surprised. It was lovely, per usual. I have found, surprisingly, many many many wonderful Alias fics and writers, and they don't even necessarily have Syd and Viv wind up together... but they're so good you can overlook that. One had this penchant for the Blind Assassin, which makes me feel stupid for not ever finding the time to finish it.
[...]
I finished my science homework, essay thing, yay for me. All I need to do is prepare a tape for my Alias show. *hugs Alias* So so so so so so so excited.
~*~
Can we say it with me? 'Holy Mother of God'. That's right. And no, I'm not just talking about 'Alias'.
No, no, I'm talking about the minor surgery I had this afternoon, wherein my eye was numbed and then the opthamologist took a fricken knife and scraped my eye.
Yeah.
Don't want to dwell. Mom asked if my stoicism was due to the Sydfluence. I said sure, why not, whatever.
Onwards to more pleasant things, I adore Janelle. Philly is no fun to squee with about Alias, so during french I told Janelle about last night's episode because i couldn't stand not talking about it. She has agreed to watch Alias! YAY! Then her, me and Andres talked about it on the bus home. Predictably, Andres's favorite episode is 'Phase One'- because of Syd in lingerie. Color me shocked.
Me: Vaughn is like...
Janelle: ...a God. I know.
Me: Oh my god, that's right! Bless you, Janelle!
Last night's episode? SO BLOODY COOL. I mean, I want a job at TWOP, because I would have SO MUCH FUN commenting that episode. Vaughn, my little darling, is a manwhore, because now we have proof that it was nine months before the MW was taking home chicks. Chicks with bad dye-jobs. Chicks who are FRICKEN SNIPERS WORKING FOR THE FRICKEN COVENANT. Fricken A, man. Way to pick 'em.
Next week's episode should rock even more. Syd-Vaughn kissage, almost death-age, and Ingrid's spawnage. And no, not Pia, but Isabella Rossellini! YAY!!!!!!!!
Have an urge to write Syd/Vaughn fics, to read them, to read Margaret Atwood, to become Syd. Well, not Syd, per se, but Syd-like. NotSyd. Unless I could have Viv. Viv is worth the tribulations...
"He loves me. Nine months is nothing."
Nica: it's time enough for lauren to make a move
Me: oh yeah
Nica: "He will move on... find somebody else, perhaps."
Me: time enough for the EFFING MANWHORE TO BRING HIS GIRLFRIEND HOME
Me: he never even brought syd home!
Nica: nope
Me: manwhore
I love Monica, Janelle, Alias and fanfic. And Nita. Because Nita now reads my blog. :-D And because Nita writes fanfic. And Nita should write more. Yessssssss. You know this to be true.
~*~
Er, then mom wanted to set up her new SunPass, so she booted me offline, so Mel and I watched the last episode of Alias and I realized that yes, it was Quentin who was talking to Syd and I was boggled at the fact that i missed it, because it was SO BLOODY OBVIOUS. Narf.
So, Mel and I teased the gang as they went to save slaughter Syd's eggs and possibly Sydbaldi. Then she wanted to watch the episode wherein Marshall was kidnapped... I think she wants me to think that she adores Marshall so that I'll ignore the fact that she has developed a crush on Sark. *shakes head* The bloody fool.
THEN, I got my Alias calendar! Finally! It's really pretty, and it has months with different people and then on the side they have all this info on them.. so now I know Syd's and Vaughn's and Marshall's and Sloane's and SpyDaddy's birthdays and mother's maiden names and place of birth and how long they've been a part of whatever organization they're with and their abilities and languages... it's uber cool, dude. and it looks so spiffy on my wall. So spiffy that I tried studying for math. Alas, forsooth, it didn't work.

3. I remember hating when you got the Alias DVDs, because you were NEVER ONLINE.
4. Yay that you understand your math. :D
5. Remember the time we called each other afterwards? Was that for like, Blowback, maybe? I can't recall. I know I was mad at Vaughn. :P

Date: 2004-08-19 05:26 pm (UTC)And those posts were big fun. :) I distinctly remember "Is it wrong that I'm always more interested in what Syd's wearing than what she's doing? Is it wrong that I tease Rambaldi? That I giggle whenever Marshall enters a room because I love him so? That I melt when Vaughn appears? That I cheer SpyDaddy on, no matter what he's doing?" I think I must have read that repeatedly or something. :)
