A couple weeks ago, my Spanish teacher asked me to write her a letter of recommendation so that she could get tenure. I totally adore her, but it's actually DUE TOMORROW and I have no idea what to write. Like, yeah, I clearly think Belkis is awesome and want her to get whatever job she wants, but that's not really a letter. That's a sentence.

Dear to whom it may concern,

Belkis is the coolest teacher ever and I really like her, please give her whatever job she wants.

kthnxbai,

Madi

I DON'T THINK THIS WILL WORK. Ack.

Probably the best thing for you to focus on is her approach to the classroom that works so well for you-- is she always prompt with feedback, available for consultation? What teaching styles does she use that are so effective? Is she responsive to student needs and concerns? I'm guessing that's the sort of thing they'd be looking for, if that's helpful at all. xD

I don't know, dude, I'd give someone tenure for that right there.

But hah, I can understand. I would probably freak and then write a whole bunch of Obviously Bullshit stuff.

Thanks, Milla! I added a bunch of stuff about her methods. And I also included how awesome she was.

That's why people like you and me don't hand out tenure.

I wrote... obvious stuff that was from the heart!
