How will I ever, ever survive?
Dec. 14th, 2004 07:12 pmJesus, Freelancer. Not only do you end The Rock Star! Syd fic's sequel, but you name their baby Marie Angelina? How heartless can you be?
(Another day, another update. Le sigh.)
Today at volunteering I bit the bullet and asked for a reassignment. I hate working with the sick kids, it's depressing and I'm not a big enough person to handle it, apparently. So when I get back from Christmas break (well, not going anywhere but I lied and said I was so I didn't have to go... another lump of coal in my stocking...) I'm going to be working at the child care center.
Today was a good day- in drama we did the White Elephant where my Starbucks giftcard was the most sought after and I got "the best gift"- Shrek 2 on DVD... someone went over the limit. But oh well. I don't like Shrek 2, so I don't know what I'm going to do with it. In math I was there for a little bit, and then Daddy picked me up to take me to the orthodontist.
PAIN, dudes. Damn orthodontia.
Then Daddy took me to lunch at McDonalds, and I couldn't taste anything because of the disinfectant chemicals they put on the stuff they put in my mouth, but I assume it was good. Then I went back and had a stellar time in Khausinau because I love his class. We talked about Beloved, which, surprisingly, I do not despise. I think it's because it's more psychological than I felt The Bluest Eye was, and it's deeper. Not that any of Toni Morrison's books are light.
And? The slaver owner's family name was Garner. So all the slaves took that last name. Brought a smile to my face.
GOM! Freelancer ended the other fic as well!
My life is barren.
