You heard it here... fourth...
Jun. 30th, 2005 06:18 pmSo, Jen and Ben got married in the islands. Turks and Caicos, to be precise. While I question their location- why there, dudes?- good for them! Yay, Jen! You got 'im! Papa Garner'll stop glaring at you! Ben, if you start drinking again, I will hunt you down. I do not play.
And? The pictures of Jen in the islands? With none other than Mr. Victor Garber.
Mel: Married? Oh, gosh, Madi...
Me: It's okay. She's a big girl, Mel.
Mel: I know, she's having a baby. But...
Me: Shhh. I know.
There are sharks on MIAMI BEACH.
I mean, we had two shark attacks in three days up in the panhandle - (side note: Fucking Panhandle. They don't want to be part of Florida, and we don't want them either. Please, become your own state. We hate you.)- a sixteen year old boy who lost his leg, and a fourteen year old girl who was surfing who DIED BECAUSE SHE WAS EATEN. Now they're on Miami Beach. The freaking HELL, dude?
Today, after my nap, my sister was watching a program on location haunting because we're both a sucker for them. On a commercial, they were having an ad for some CD of like, 36 of The Best Opera Songs Of All Time, or something. I was sitting there, talking to Ma, and suddenly I hear the song Roberto made out with Nadia to in "The Orphan."
You know. The song that haunts me because I would hear little snippets of it everywhere and COULD NEVER FIGURE IT OUT.
So, I look to the screen- and miss the title as it scrolls up. Dammit.
I go to the website and stare bewilderedly at all 36 titles of The Best Opera Songs Of All Time, knowing I will never, ever be able to guess.
Go to yahoo. Type in 'alias "the orphan" music'. There's a thread on SD-6. The title. The composer.
D'oh!
There are about nine titles-Lakmé de Délibes, or something like that is the composer, it's called "The Flower Duet" or "Dôme èpais le jasmin". At least I got it so IT CAN STOP HAUNTING ME.
ETA: *Mel walks up holding my copy of 'Daredevil.*
Mel: Can you believe these two *points at Daredevil and Elektra* are married? *points to Elektra's tummy* Having a baaaaaby.
Me: Put that down.
Mel: ACCEPT!
Me: Accepted! Freak.

Date: 2005-06-30 05:13 pm (UTC)Heck, I could sing it for you right now.
Except for the part where my French is kind of lacking.
But then again, you wouldn't be able to hear me anyway.
Which is such a good thing.
