Today I slept until one, which was lovely. That was also when Mom told me about the London bombings (which is so WWII I actually had to pause for a moment and wonder what tense Ma had spoken in).
I just... I don't understand it. The day after the Olympics thing is announced, London gets bombed six times. Who DOES shit like that to goddamn BRITAIN? It's ridiculous. I haven't seen any reports- I'm in the black hole, I swear- so I can't say anything real inspiring, though I've heard nothing but wonderful things about Tony Blair and the reactions of British citizens. I am, however, saying prayers for the citizens of London and all those who lost loved ones.
Around four we went to have dinner at Mare Mare's. We got to see the babies.
They are just... too darling for words. Chloe is five, and Christine is two and a half... too cute. Like, there is nothing I can say about them.
Actually spoke with jeannie, which was interesting, and I think we spoke more today than we did the entire trip last year, but whatever.
Other than the strange realization that my Grandmother really is old and losing her memory, which is just stranger and stranger, nothing really exciting happened today.
Except for seeing Kendall in the car.
Kendall. You know, the dad from 'The Cutting Edge'? John Locke on 'Lost'? Him. Terry O'Quinn.
I was sitting on Ma's lap in the car, facing the driver's side of the car on our way up to Mary's, and Mel suddenly shouts that out. I turn around, and sure enough, IT IS KENDALL.
Weirdest thing? He drives a bit ahead, and we see his license plate:
USA CIA
Swear to god.
ETA: Alias is starting on TNT on September 26th at 6 o'clock. I am OVERJOYED.
