Okay, the fact that Victor Garber did not get an Emmy nod is UNCONSCIOUSABLE. What the FUCK do they watch? They're all thrilled about shows with little to no acting brilliance, and they scorn VICTOR GARBER? He's goddamn brilliant. I mean, yay Jen but GODDAMN EMMY PEOPLE.

So, who wants to tell me what happened in the new Harry Potter book? Inquiring minds want to know! (ETA: Forget it. I knew Nita would come through and tell me who on her LJ. YAY, NITA!)

So, spent the past couple days at Mare Mare's. The first night Kate, Mel, Jeannie, Tim and I went to the Saratoga County Fair, which was fun. The second night Jeannie had us up in her apt. and she got us all tipsy and we went in hot tub, and the third night Ma, Mel and I (Katie went to go climb a mountain with her dad) watched 'What Not to Wear until two in the morning because that show is the third best show in the entire world.

We saw the babies everyday, and Christine took to calling Mel and I "the twins" because apparently we look super identical. Or something.

I also managed to really fuck up my left ankle. It's been bothering me since I went to Virginia- remember, Nica?- but apparently I also knocked it getting out of the hot tub and hit it pretty bad, so it's all swollen and bruised and icky.

And, to add to the grand excitement of my life, I had an allergic reaction to a fruit roll-up. I kid you not. I ate it, and then the top of my mouth started itching, and then my sinuses started tingling, and then my throat started to feel weird... it hurt a little, but I was more scared than anything. We all think it was because of the blue dye, but the mandate is no fruit roll ups or anything of the kind until forever.

Anyway, Jeannie decided to like me, which I thought wouldn't happen. She invited us (kate, mel and i) to go to the fair with her and her boyfriend. Then the next day, just because Mom was out with Laura, she invited us upstairs to her apartment with her friend Reenie. And then she was volunteering to give us drinks!

Kate drank more than I did, simply because she has a higher tolerance, and once I hit the happy little buzz I'm good to go, and I have no inclination to drink more in hopes of a higher high. So, I had some Jeannie's Molsons (which is a Canadian beer that tastes like water flavored with yeast), some Arbor Mist (which was awful), Jaeger Bombs (which is this alcohol called Jaeger mixed with Red Bull). Then my buzz wore off, and Jeannie and I got up to create a drink. It's called the Maadi. It's half a shot of peach vodka and then the rest of a glass of Sunkist. It's delicious  and does not taste like alcohol at all. 

Jeannie also got my phone number and spent all that evening and last night text messanging me. She was super nice about everything, and I am kinda weirded out, but it was very nice.

I got some great stuff- black ballet flats, a bright shiny silver bag for school from Gap, and two pairs of rocking white pants from Abercrombie. Sales and beautiful things.

Jess and were trying to plan a meeting tomorrow, but Mom's not here, so  I have to... figure something out when she gets home and email it to Jess and hope that... things work out? I have no idea.

I still can't wait to be home, but it's almost time...

And where is Tess? Nica's here, and Hannah's just not IMing me, but Tess? NO WHERE TO BE FOUND?

I am in mourning. I love both the person who died and the person who killed that person -- I am extremely disappointed he killed him. :( The book is awesome though.
