The MODIFIED Questions Meme
Ask me 3 questions, no more no less. Ask as many as you wish, but three at least please :) It can be any subject, take a risk with any subject matter you want to. In fact, pulling me out of my comfort zone is cool, if you want to risk it ;D But make the questions creative! Not just questions about physical appearance or something. Make an effort!
I'm considering doing just an all-out, expletive-laden, history-sodden rant about my friends and lack of merit, but what's holding me back is whether or not it'll do any good. I mean, it won't, because my friends (and when I say "friends" in a derogatory way, it's always the same people) will still suck, and I don't know if I'll feel better at all.
ETA: "Perhaps it was all the cold water dumped on her at the MTV Video Music Awards, as Kelly Clarkson has been diagnosed with bronchitis and had to postpone concerts this past Monday in Santa Barbara, California, and Wednesday (September 7) in Irvine, California." -Mtv.com
Dude. We all got so, so sick after the VMAs. I only lost my voice, but everyone got congested and stuffy and Adriana was out of school for a week with it. It's insane. Contaminated water indeed.

As for the three questions--
1. What do you enjoy most about living in Miami?
2. How did you first get into Alias?
3. Thus far, who has been the most influential person in your life?

Date: 2005-09-09 09:42 pm (UTC)1. It's a tie between the weather and the atmosphere. Like, sure, it's hot and that sucks, we get hurricanes and that sucks more, but it's usually temperate and there's always a breeze and it's lovely. And the sun shines a lot, and I love that.
The atmosphere is probably going to win, simply because it is so far removed from the rest of America. Us Miamians are fond of saying that we're not even a city in the US, we're the capital of the caribbean, and it's true. We have so many foreigners and we all see things so differently from the rest of the country- and it's really been a benefit.
2. Um, I will begin this by saying that I did not want to like Alias. At all. But Nica got into it, and she would ramble about it, and it drove me nuts, and I hated at it, and finally, for my own peace of mind, I rented out the first disk of the first season, just to say I'd seen it and it hadn't done anything for me.
Oh, but it did. After I finished those three episodes, I determined I needed the first two seasons for mere survival. And I proceeded to watch 41 hours of television in three days. Ah, indoctrination
3. Oh, wow. Most influential... it has to be my mom. Like, it has to be. I can't think of anyone else. And my mom is so different from so many other moms, and she made me strange and different too.

3. Which Alias episode has made/makes you cry the most?

Date: 2005-09-09 10:28 pm (UTC)2. Oh, wow. I was really fond of the 'how can love survive' fic, actually. That one was so much fun. But the group fic we did when it was the five of us... wow. That was great too, remember?
3. Oh, god. I think it was Mirage. Because I cried so hard for Jack in it. I bawled at his confusion, and his love for Syd and Laura and okay I'm choking up thinking about it. And the season four finale. I cried when they got engaged. I was all giddy at the end. And then? Big crash. :-(

3. Mirage breaks me. It does. Siiigh. I cannot believe that Victor didn't get nominated for an Emmy this year. It's so wrong that I can't even think about it for extended periods of time.
And ooh, ooh, I have a new question for you, O Sound of Music expert!
Who the heck is Baroness Eberfeld or whatever?? I must know. It maddens.
