Oct. 11th, 2010 11:01 pmToday turned out to be unexpectedly awesome, and I think it all happened because of my hair. See, last night my mother turned to me and said "Let's curl your hair!" and because there was no reason not to, I agreed. I woke up this morning to find my hair in stupid-looking sausage ringlets of varying lengths and thicknesses, and starting like, two inches away from the root of my hair. I was very disappointed. So it was decided that I'd brush them out, and if I hated it then, I could put it up in a bun or something when I went to the store.
INSTEAD I GOT GORGEOUS 1940s PIN-UP HAIR. It was spectacular, gorgeous full soft curls all fluffy and perfect and gorgeous. Seriously. Best hair I've ever had.
So, I go with my mother to the mall and we go into Lush and sample like, everything and I loooove it there, and then I buy some dusting powder and a shower jelly and the salesgirl is like, is there anything you guys would like to sample? and we were like, um... what do you suggest? And she was like, how about a mask? So we figure she's going to give us like, enough for two masks. BUT NO. She gave us a whole regular-sized container of it!
Then, we're walking around and see that Clinique is offering a little makeup kit free with the purchase of $21.50 worth of makeup, and though we need makeup like we need holes in the head, we decided to check it out, and wound up buying this eye cream for my mom and a lipstick for me, the saleslady asked us which color kit we wanted for our free gift. Mom and I were looking at the colors, and admitted that we couldn't really decide which color lipstick, and therefore which kit, we preferred. "No problem," the lady whispered, "I'll give you both." And she did! Both color palettes in our bag, and she whispered "shhh!" as she handed it to me.
I attribute this all to my hair. Long may the curl live!
