So, I watched The Forty year old Virgin. And... dammit. I wanted to like it! And some of it was SO FUNNY. But then... the rest of it... and Steve Carrell... and dude. LOVE Paul Rudd. And just about all of his friends. But... gah. And I loved Trish! But everything. Augh. I don't get mainstream humor. Not Anchorman. Not Napoleon Dynamite. Not The Forty year old Virgin. Nothing.

Dude, what movies do you find funny?? The 40 Year Old Virgin. . . I felt the same way as you pretty much, though I did enjoy it more the second time. Anchorman wasn't as funny as I wanted it to be, though I still liked it, and Napoleon Dynamite made me laugh harder than any movie I have ever seen. But I saw it before it got completely played out and now it just makes me sad.

Oh man, I cried at 40 Year Old Virgin I was laughing so hard. I saw it with a bunch of frat boys in the theatre. But then, movies like that and Anchorman are right up my alley. . .I didn't like Old School, that's too boy-y. . .did you see the unrated one? Cause that one isn't good. You have to see the regular one. Napoleon Dynamite was funny UNTIL it got mainstream and on tshirts like "JESUS DIED FOR PEDRO." Do you like Monty PythoN?
