Number of passages from Hamlet to know: 10
Number of Eavan Boland poems to know: 4
Number of Sylvia Plath poems to know: 6
Hours spent annotating last night: 5
Hours of sleep I got last night: 4.5
So, out of all the passages, I had a 30% of getting a Plath poem. Yesterday, everyone who went got a Hamlet passage, and the only two who got poems both got Plath. So, basically, this morning I resigned myself to getting something baneful- most likely Boland.
Then Julie came back, and she'd gotte Degas' Laundresses, which I hated, and then Manny came back and he'd gotten The Pomegranate, which I liked, so I wouldn't get either, but I was ready to puke by the time I got to my orals.
The Plath poems available to me were Lady Lazarus, Daddy, Morning Song, Cut, Two Sisters of Persephone and Edge.
I got Edge. (the formatting is messed up- each stanza is two lines, which leads to many enjambments and the like) It's the last poem Sylvia Plath ever wrote before she committed suicide and I was so lucky to get a Plath poem. It made my oral so much easier and I was so much more relaxed.
I need to hunt down Plath, like, icons or something. I know
dollsome made a few Alias icons with Sylvia text... I should hunt them down.
Gom. I GOT PLATH.

Date: 2006-02-23 02:41 am (UTC)I get to recite Fever 103 need-to-learn-the-alt-code-for-a-degrees-sign in front of my AP class tomorrow. :P Wheehaw?
And now I feel oddly compelled to make more icons with Sylvia text. And you know what? I can. Because our computer is no longer virus-y (I think) and I can use Photoshop and EEEEE. Of course, I have, like, no caps on the other computer and it sucks. But whatever. Photoshop is so necessary to my essence.
And, oh, look, I made that icon! That is so one of my favourites that I've done. Pretty seductress Nadia.
