May. 3rd, 2006 09:02 pmAll I keep reading everywhere is "Sloane finds a cure for Nadia, but it could kill her!" Thanks a fucking lot, Prophet Five. Jeez, Sloane. Way to get insurance.
It hurts me to think of mi querida Nadia dying. It really does.
Today's paper one was decent. I don't think I failed math today, but there's always Paper Two tomorrow. Paper One yesterday in English was pretty good good- I got this super cool poem called "The Behaviour of Fish in an Egyptian Tea Garden," and it rocked. I think I did well.
I really don't want Nadia to die. Really Really.
Oh, Alias. You've been so good recently. Keep up that strike. Be nice to Nadia.
*crosses fingers*
Vamos.
Okay, so, I got real scared over whether Southern Barbie!Syd was really Syd or Anna, but it was Syd, so all's well. Although seeing Anna as Syd is damn, damn scary.
Um, Renée helped Syd out, 'cause she was pretending to be an American selling a perfume called "L'Eau de Passion," HEE, and wanted to outsource her calling place order thing. I don't know. So Renée was all, oh, don't worry about it, I got your back, and then she proceeded to rob everyone in order to give Syd time to... do stuff. To catch Anna. I don't know, I spent the entire time confused.
Sloane went to see Angus and was all, um, in the instructions, it said Nadia's heart had to stop for 30 seconds for the cure to work. That's not cool. And Angus is like, not my problem. Have faith in Rambaldi's Cure. And buck up.
Back at home, everyone deals with finding Peyton and Anna and Page 47 and they see that Zurich is 47 North- NORTE, HELLO- and I really don't know what happened.
Other than Sloane went to see the prettiest comatosed girl in the world, apologized for doing it in advance, and killed her. Stopped her heart. Poor lamb!
It so works. I've seen promo pics. And I counted 30 seconds.
NADIA! WOKE! UP!
First Daddy came in and totally tried to intervene. Which says two things: (1) He was going to visit Nadia of his own accord, 'cause there's no way he could've known. (2) He tried to save Nadia. Which can be interpreted many ways.
Sloane panicked and thought maybe it didn't work, but it did! Yay!
Back at APO, Syd's talking to Dix about things I don't understand, and they find out the guy in Zurish that Peyton gave Page 47 to used to be an art historian but lost his credibility and has worked with Renée, which ain't no big thing. Then Marshall ran in and was all, Syd! Your dad's on the phone! Nadia's awake!
SO SYD WENT TO SEE HER!
And currently all they've done is say hi, but omg! Awake! Sisterness!
Sloane lies something awful to Daddy about how he found a cure through trials in Barcelona, where, you know, Peyton and Anna are, and Daddy way knows, and sent Dixon on the job to find out what happened. Oh, dirty Sloane. Making a Syd double to save Nadia. Tsk tsk. I forgive you.
OMG NADIA!
So, Daddy figured out in about twenty minutes, including travel time, what Sloane did involving Prophet Five. Not everything, of course, but enough to know to tap his phone lines and whatever. And Dixon haaaates Sloane still. Hee.
Nadia wakes up and meets Isabelle, and she is so darling, and I love her to death, and I never want her to leave. She wants to live with Syd, even though Sloane offered her a place, in spite of the baby.
Renée and Balthazar are a beautiful, beautiful couple. They're adorable in CGI-Paris. And Renée's French is so beautiful, and everyone else's is atrocious. He found something on Page 47, by the way.
Sloane plans a meet, the goof, and Daddy finds out and calls Syd. And Syd, of course, has to tell Nadia. Nadia doesn't really trust her dad anyway.
And then Daddy went to follow Sloane, and Nadia caught him in the parking garage, completely recovered and wanting to go with him. Oh, Sloane. You mess everything up.
AIEEEEE IS NADIA PRETTY!
It looks like Sloane still has the real Page 47, and by real I mean the one from Seasons One and Two. But I barely saw it.
Daddy and Nadia went to follow Sloane, and Daddy was really cute and nice to Nadia. Nadia went to listen in and spy on Sloane and the other guy as he wwent to one of those rent a spaces, or whatever, and from it he removed a suitcase and left. Nadia went right over with the MEMORIZED KEY PAD SEQUENCE and then broke in with Daddy. They found some of her stuff and "evidence of trials in Barcelona." On WHO, Daddy? They are SO! FAKE! Arg, whatever. Daddy apologizes for "misjudging" Sloane, except for the part where he didn't.
In France, Renée seduces Moritz, and whatever, and Tom is there painting a door on so as to break Moritz and Renée out. They find out the Page 47 Sloane handed over was really a fake, they can tell from some elements in them, but oh well. They'll bait Anna anyway. They're going to meet in Ghana. With Anna. How fun. I want Tom and Renée to get together.
Oh, man. I hate this show. I truly do.
Nadia went to see Sloane. Syd was in Ghana, she wanted to spy, you know. They talked. He had kept her favorite sweater, he remembered she liked chamomile tea. And then... she went to cut off her hospital bracelet, and found Page 47. Which is the new one and not the original from season one. But whatever.
Nadia went to confront him, and she was so sad, because the whole time in a coma she had felt everything, but been unable to move or talk or anything.
He told her he couldn't choose between Rambaldi and her. And I knew she was going to throw it in the fire, and she did. And he pushed her, and the < O > glowed, and Nadia died with a shard of glass in her neck from the coffee table, dying like Weiss was shot.
I hate this show.
It's just- it's not fair. I mean, it wasn't enough to kill Nadia, they killed Renée, too. Renée, who said she did trust Sydney, just not everyone else, and she died thinking it was Syd who slit her throat and killed her in that ambush.
And then Daddy- he went to Sloane's house- and he saw Nadia, and- I mean, I don't even know what to do with myself. Next week they're baiting us with Vaughn coming back and being confused by Syd as Anna, and Sloane has completely gone over to the dark side and left on a plane with Anna, and I always loved Sloane. I always believed that he could be redeemed, and now I don't even think he can, and I hate that.
And I hate that Nadia and Renée are dead. I hate hate hate that.
And I'm crying.
ETA: What I'm most upset about is how unfair it all is. This isn't like Vaughn's death, open to interpretation and not true anyway, killing Nadia was just- they should've just left her in the coma. Or had her have a fucking relapse into the insane zombie or something. She said she didn't want to be hurt by her father again, and she died because he chose Rambaldi over her. The little girl who never had a home or a family, who only wanted to be loved and who was the most forgiving and apologetic of them all- it's her who got sacrificed, just like Emily, for Sloane's Rambaldi obsession.
And I honestly thought that voice over would be Sloane's suicide note or something, but no. No, he went to join Prophet Five, and I know the writers will probably have him pull some eleventh hour heroics and undermine it at the end all for the good of Sydney... but I can't forgive him for Nadia. I can't. She was too good, just like Emily.
