Jun. 4th, 2006 04:14 pmAll kinds of biblical rain coming down right now- the day is entirely grey and icky and shadowy.
I watched Spanglish with my mom and sister, and it was just as good this time as it was before.
I had the worst dreams ever last night.
I had this godawful dream in two parts.
The first involved me starting like... it was like another high school, but I had the same principal and my same english teacher. I don't know how I remembered this, but I do.
Afterwards, I went home and... my best friend Talisa had died. In a car accident. For some reason her body was in my sister's bedroom, and I knew she was dead, and I was sitting with her boyfriend, and it was- like, I can't describe the devastation. It was just so horrible, to think of Talisa as dead.
I went to school another day, and I was in my english class, and Mrs Leal, the principal, walked in. She wanted a Natalie or a Madeline, and Mrs Holmes was like, well, we have a Madeline, and Mrs Leal said, "the girl whose best friend just died." Which was me. So I went with her, and she said that there had been a mistake, that Talisa wasn't dead, that there was a girl in the hospital I had to identify- and I knew better than to get my hopes up, because I'd seen her body, I knew she was dead, but maybe, just maybe...
None of them were her.
I woke up before the funeral, when I was just sitting with Jorge on my front lawn, and I was just so glad it was a dream. It was about nine, so I went back to sleep.
And for the first time in my life, I continued the same dream as I'd had before.
In it, Talisa was still dead. And to add insult to injury... Becca died in another car accident.
I don't remember the details as well as I do with Talisa, and I think it's because I woke up quicker and had another, unrelated dream, but it was- I mean, beyond so much, knowing that both of my best friends were dead. And I was thinking, I just saw them a few days ago... but it didn't mean anything, 'cause now they were gone.
I calmed myself down after that dream and hoped for better things with my third, which turned out to be a weird dream involving a subway system that eventually led to me joining up with Sydney, Vaughn, Isabelle, and an army male-nanny and us missing our train and having to drive somewhere.
Nica says that since I told people, the dreams definitely can't come true (which may have been my problem the few times I dreamt good things with my crush and told people) and I hope so... but, poll.
