I am extremely angry because, for some reason, my computer isn't working properly. As in, the internet isn't. So I'm now on dial-up and it angers me.

A lot.

Today we picked up the new car, went to look at laptops, and got some jeans at Abercrombie. Right now I'm between a Celeron HP and an Apple MacBook. Any feedback from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

(And I got Evita on DVD. Yaaaaay.)

ETA: *cries* Pleeeeease work, DSL. Please! I love you, baby! I would never fool around on you!

I'm (hopefully) going to be getting a MacBook in the fall, so. . .no prizes for guessing my vote. xD

(The education discount is fab, btw, especially if you're going to be buying the AppleCare plan. Which also comes highly recommended. xD)

My thing about the apple care plan is that it covers like, if it stops working itself, but not if I drop it or the screen gets cracked or something. I'm not a clumsy person, but with the HP Best Buy is offering me all kinds of crazy insurance thingies so basically my laptop could get smited by the wrath of God and they'd have to fix it or give me a new one. Which is pretty awesome.

Ugh, it was totally agonizing.

I think I'm doing the HP laptop, mainly because of the warranty from Best Buy. So far. At the moment. Good lord.

AppleCare actually fixed a cracked screen (I was at fault, really) for me, but we've been longtime Apple customers (and we sent them a letter and stuff), so I don't know what it's like in most situations. I've had some problems with Best Buy in the past, too, but I've never bought a laptop through them.
