There is so much familial drama here it's amazing. There have always been certain tensions within the family, but with Gramma in the nursing home and the objects in her home essentially up for grabs, everything has reached a whole new level. And it's lame.

I have a cold, and it's really lame. I am totally going to lose my voice, like always, and it'll take weeks to get back. Arg.

But today I went shopping, and Rampage was having a killer 60% off sale, so I got some awesome dressy tops for fabulous prices, and a pair of pants and a top from Abercrombie. Also, my aunt Julie is such a trip.

I adore my little cousin Christine. She's three, and she's just the cutest thing on god's green earth. She has a head of light blonde curls and is iced milk pale, but she has the features of a china doll and chatters away a mile a minute. She's completely brilliant, too, and, for some reason, despite the fact she's never met on in real life, she loves pugs. This struck my family as funny because we've recently been raving about agent_nica's dog Harley.

I've been having fun enough, but I'd like to go home. I have to be home for sure by August 1st, because that's when my parents need to go back to work, and then it's just over two weeks before I go away to school.

Egads.

Sorry about the family drama. That's never fun and always lame. But at least you got to hit a really good sale! I need to find one or two of those since school is coming up, like, way too fast. August 9th! Oh, how I dread the day.

Monica and I were like, Harley is the ugliest dog ever, but he is so freaking cute. And it's true! Pugs are adorable!

Family drama is lame. I'm really doing my best to stay out of it. And the sales I hit were so badass, I hope the Rampage is still open when I get home.

August 9th? Jeez! That was what we had last year. Now it got pushed back another week for my sister, and I start school the 23rd. Gulp.

I think Harley has got to be one of the most common names for pugs. I knew at least 3 when I worked at the doggie store. (Oh man, one of them was so spoiled. His owner would always bring him into the store in a baby stroller.)

Heh. I really excited for fall!
