sunshine_queenSo, I definitely suck at updating.
This weekend ROCKED. seriously. Ollie and I went home a day early, so I was home Thursday night. My own bed and my own shower and it was all wonderful. Then on Friday I got one for Jeannie's wedding next June. It's... it's a pretty sundress! I can't wear it for an October wedding! O, the crosses I have to bear.
Then me and my dad went to the airport to pick up JESS!
And she, of course, was fabulous, like always.

So we hung out all Friday and watched 'Tango' and 'Somewhere In Time' and sat next to each other with our laptops and IMed one another because we win at life like that.
Saturday we went to Dadeland and I got a few other things, and then we went home and GOT READY FOR SHAKIRA!!!!!
We took the metrorail there, and I wound up finding Laura Galvez and Javier there, and Wyclef Jean was okay and then there was a big break between sets and Jess bought a poster and I bought a t-shirt and then SHAKIRA PERFORMED!
I'm still pretty incoherent when it comes to the show- she was just so good. Some famous people make you feel inferior and bad about yourself, and Shakira just makes you feel good. She seems to honestly care and to be excited. She spoke in English and in Spanish and told little anecdotes, and she is SUCH a good singer and performer and we were close enough that we could see her bellybutton and the cut of her hip (which is pretty much how I described my proximity to everyone). She was constantly moving for two hours and we barely sat down. She was absolutely amazing and fabulous and I love her more than I did before.
Then the concert ended :-( and we went back to my house and stayed up late and went to bed.
And then it was our last day there.

And then Mommy took me to Ollie's house, and then Ollie and me left.

And today my book arrived and Brittany is moving out as we speak!

SHAKIRA. WAS. SO. AMAZING. You're totally right about how much she cared, and how happy she makes you feel. You're so sad to leave her, because she makes the show so personal for you, even though it really isn't. I love her.
