sunshine_queenI know I'm kind of disgustingly Pollyannaish when it comes to my university, but let's discuss:
Darts
- OBT didn't have my spanish books.
- OBT is a hundred years away.
- Torrential rain.
- Ridiculously overpriced textbooks.
Laurels
- My beautiful umbrella (ella ella) was worth every red penny I spent on it.
- Gainesville's water drainage system.
- OBT for having my poli sci books.
- The cool, refreshing breeze sent from God when I was walking back.
- UF, for making me kind of stupidly happy.
At first I was walking all grouchy, thinking miserably, woe, it is raining, boo, I have to go all by myself, I have no friends, I will be a cat lady, I should've gone to W&M or stayed at home and gone to FIU and received money for attending instead of spending copious amounts of money on textbooks. And then I just... got happy. Which is weird and kind of unsettling, but being here just makes me happy. And I thought that was only supposed to be being in love, so... I'm in love with my university? I guess?
My room is still freezing, but it's fun, because my windows get all condensationy as the day wears on.
Also, for another new adventure, I'm going to go to church by myself for the first time. Maybe I'll like St Augustine's better this year.
