Okay, so. I'm a little girl- like, pre preschool. My favorite movie ever on the face of the earth was 'The Sound of Music.' My mom had recorded it off TV, and she recorded it after 'Notorious,' so she always made me watch the last scene of that, and I hated it. Anyway. Even at the tender age of three, I was in looove with Captain von Trapp. And when he danced with Maria to the Laendler? It's an Austrian folk dance! And the song is so perfect and the dance is so silly but so wonderful and siiiigh.

I recently saved this one when I was going through Nita's icon journal for reasons I can no longer recall. This moment is so perfect- Irina has just kissed for the first time in twenty-odd years, and it's for show but it's totally to through Jack off balance and now he is off balance and all bitch omg. And it's wonderful.
Cabaret- amazing- faerishimmer
I've never seen a cartoon of that picture of Liza Minnelli before, so I think it's amazing. Add to that the fact that the chair and her hand are like, real, and that only part of the Cabaret sign is visible and the color... this icon is a visual feast!

Ingrid as Alicia in 'Notorious,' and I love her face and the hand to her forehead, and she's so beautiful and *guuuush*
Barbra- flower- lowenstein590
This is Barbra in 'On a Clear Day You Can See Forever'! She's Daisy Gamble. You can't see it, but she's singing to a bunch of flowers. She makes plants grow by talking/singing to them. So they start out non-blossomed and you pull away and there they are, all bloomed. And it's the opening scene and I love that movie so much.

Um, hi, Nack. In black and white. All beautiful and UST-y and vaguely dirty and dangerous. And Jack's tie looks so cool and the cropping is amazing and Nadia's hair looks great and their faces are perfect and look how close they're standing!
SyVa- trapped- _ladydisdain
It's SyVa in one of my favoritest most depressing angsty scenes ever. Syd's just shown in Hong Kong and Vaughn has walked in and Syd lunged for him... and Vaughn looks so relieved and Syd is gripping his head (I'm a sucker for a head grab) and his hand is on her back and it's so wonderful and doomed cause he's married and it's been two years and gaaaah. Love.
