I am sucking at updating because for the first time in a long time, I've actually been doing stuff. My whole family came over for my birthday (and when I say 'whole' I mean my dad's one brother and his family, as my mom's family is in NY and my dad's other brother is in Orlando.) That was delightful. Then yesterday, Heather, Philly, Janelle and Adriana came over and we decorated cookies, which was also delightful.

Now it's Christmas (or Ludachristmas, as I am now inclined to call it) Eve, and we're spending Noche Buena with Talisa's family. I, of course, always remember that evening, so very long ago, where I received the netflix envelope that contained Alias season one, disc one. I was all, whatever, I will put this disc in and dislike it, and then go to mass and all will be well.

Ha. A ha ha ha.

So happy fifth anniversary, Alias. No one treats you like I do, baby.

And merry Christmas to those celebrating. I expect gift round ups tomorrow.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I'm so excited. I love Christmas, and Christmas Eve at that, way too much. Fa la la la.

According to Wikipedia, Nochebuena is indeed a real phenomenon. I was going to ask you that, but I decided to check it out for myself. Oh how I wish I was from a country once dominated by Spain! (Must give the Philippines credit as well) Life would be sweet.

P.S. I think you'd be amused to know that I have formed an obsession with Miami from watching The First 48, a real life crime show on A&E. I am particularly fascinated by Cubans. Madi, you are so living the life my sister and I want. :D

LOL, what do you mean, the wiki says it's a real phenomenon? And what fascinates you about Cubans? Maybe I can give you some Cubans-only info to help your obsession along. )

I thought maybe it was a special family tradition or something, but it's a recognized celebration in Spain, Latin America, and the Phillipines. Whoo!

I don't know why I like Cubans, really. I think it's because we have very few Cubans/Puerto Ricans/Dominicans around here. You guys seem far for exotic than Mexicans or Salvadoreans. Also, it's all tropical and island-y, but with the whole interesting communism thing too. :)
