Dear god, I haven't been around in FOREVER. Lots to rant about.

On tuesday, after volunteering I had to do two essay-things, a plot list of Dr. Zhivago and do last-minute shopping for Mel's birthday. Wednesday was Mel's birthday, and I came home and watched The Harvey Girls and then we went to dinner and to see Mean Girls.

Highlights/precautions from those days:
-14 year old boys are extremely obnoxious. Don't attempt to be friendly.
-Sweaty, sticky children are not endearing. Don't touch them.
-I have a new prescription for my glasses, and we're going hunting for a new pair this weekend
-Doomed in school. Doomed, entirely.
-Got invited to a college weekend thing at UF for latinos and I have to consider not going because of my doomed GPA all thanks to the laziness of Mlle Carrenard and the sub who lost my work.
-Mean Girls was just as awesome the second time as it was the first.
-Judy has a set of pipes like whoa.
-Dr. Zhivago is a sucky movie with a sucky story that just happens to have Nicky Arnstein (or Omar Sharif, whichever.) in it. It's not better seeing it the proper way, I'm still mad at Yury and I still don't like Lara. I like her music, though.

Today was early release and so I'm home at 1:16, which is nice. I have flash cards to do for tomorrow and we'll hopefully finish Zhivago tomorrow.

I don't like my friends very much, and today I nearly snapped about a zillion times.

-Addy seems to think that the only people worthy of her time now are Philly and Heather because (a) they have boyfriends and I don't (and neither does Janelle) and (b) I cannot stand letting her prattle along solely about Jacob. Everyone has great tolerance for it, but I can't handle it. And Adriana isn't interested in ANYTHING ELSE. Philly and Heather are saying they're receiving several phone calls a night from her just bitching/extolling him. Gag me with a spoon.

    - Janelle is innocently mind-numbing. She doesn't mean to do it, but she does. And it drives me up the wall.

-Today, the first interaction I have with Heather aside from 'Hi' was for her to tease me because Mrs. Margolis told me to shut up when we were watching clips from The Joy Luck Club. I wanted to smack her. Of course that would thrill her. The first thing Philly did was to ask what grade I had received on my research (A). She had to find out because she had gotten an A+ and was thrilled to have beaten me on something in English. Again, the urge to send a smack across the room was strong. Later in Chem she asked what grade I had received on the test (D, because of the three damn problems I couldn't remember how to do. Almost everything else was right on that test, and I was about three points away from a C)- she had gotten an A.

I just don't like my friends sometimes.

Mrs. Margolis has me down with a 3.20 in her class, and you want to know why? Because she lost one of my assignments because I handed to her personally twenty minutes before anyone else did (A paper, that) and then she had lost, again, an essay that she had failed to grade, that I had pointed out to her, that she assured me she had marked down and then handed back to me. I found it, luckily, and she finally marked down that I had an A- which gave me a 3.49. All because I was missing one essay from when my computer had died a couple weeks ago. So now I have to make up that... and I have to do some extra-credit work for french.

Doom. Doom.

The Devil Wears Prada is awesome. I had trouble putting it down as well and would end up reading for hours on end. Oops.

Ah, my friends have moments of extreme suckiness which causes me to wonder why I even bother with them. Then they'll make me laugh or compliment me when I need it and I decide that maybe they're worth having around. Moral of this little story? Friends are stupid sometimes, but usually they are rather fabulous.

I lost a friend because she was being stupid over a boy. Whom she broke up with a month after I got sick of it. She's a really different person from the girl I was friends with in the beginning. Of course my best friend is her younger sister so all's well that end's well.

Erica ran off because her dad died or something and she's being a showgirl. *rolls eyes* That's pushing it, even for AMC.

And I'm still uber-pissed about the January fiasco.
