So, this is a bizarre request, but does anyone have the song "Hello, Dolly" or know where I could get it? I somehow lost the file between like, three computers and I'm desperate for it, and iTunes only sells the whole album. And while this song kicks all kinds of ass, the others don't really delight me as much as this one. And so I turn to you almighty flist! Can any of you help?

In other news, I have tanlines! I've been to the beach twice this week which hasn't happened in... two years? I'm not a beach goer normally. But this was very pleasant aside from the very mild sunburn I have on my shoulders.

Nothing else is really going on- Katie leaves tomorrow, and then we leave next Friday to New York via Gainesville and Asheville, NC. In Gville I need to find an apt because the situation is getting dire.

Also, I don't know how many of you have tile floors, or tile floors with grout that needs cleaning, but my mom and I just came across the tip to use baking soda and peroxide to clean grout and HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, IT'S BEAUTIFUL. It works like magic and it has the extra benefit of being green, so, yay.

I suggest www.skreemr.com. It's an mp3 search engine. :)

Er, I just re-read your post and realized you were looking specifically for the Streisand version. Which I don't have. :( Sorry!

Thank you for the Channing version, though! It'll broaden my horizons.

(BTW, have you seen any Sophia Loren/Marcello Mastroianni movies? Because holy jeez.)

I kind of love the Channing version. It is very different from the Streisand, though, which I had never heard until I watched that video.

The only Sophia Loren movie I have seen is Houseboat. Which of the Mastroianni ones would you suggest I start with?

I've seen like... every english-language movie Sophia's done and quite a few Italian ones. I'd recommend "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" to start with and "Sunflower" for the emotional one-two punch. It's long but OH SO AMAZING AND TRAGIC AND WONDERFUL.

Also, for another amazing Sophia movie I say "Black Orchid." Anthony Quinn is just... perfection in it.

(I also, um, was obsessed with Fall of the Roman Empire and El Cid. I had awesome taste as a kid.)

You know you can always rip the audio from that video using www.zamzar.com.

Or there's [livejournal.com profile] bwayrecordings.
