Hannah loves me and made me a Nadia picspam!
It's so beautiful.
So, because my sister is still sick and my family doesn't want to get people ill, my extended family isn't coming over.
On the plus side, I'm... you know. Twenty-one and legal and I ordered a drink at lunch (this delicious pink lemonade thing) and then I went to an honest-to-God liquor store and purchased some liquor. Someone sold me liquor! There I got carded, not at the restaurant, sadly. But yeah.

Date: 2008-12-23 04:07 am (UTC)I got the email your dad sent! It was very sweet. I'm totally behind in my scarf-making, but once I have a better handle on things, you'll absolutely be getting one.

Date: 2008-12-23 05:02 am (UTC)... Next time we see each other, we can go out for cocktails together! That is freakishly adult-sounding.
My dad really likes you! He talks about you all the time. Apparently when we were in Miami, you made some throwaway comment about "Bring it on, dude"... and it has become legend in our family. ;-)
And yay for scarves! I totally need one, considering that our HIGH today was 22 degrees. *shivers* And you probably remember how cold my house gets.

Date: 2008-12-23 05:04 am (UTC)Your house does get super cold, man. And it must get freakishly cold in Virginia as well. Do you have a preference in color? I was going to make it red but if you'd like another, speak up.

Date: 2008-12-23 05:08 am (UTC)Actually, we put some curtains up between the living room and dining room this weekend, and it at least keeps the living room warm with the fire on. The room temp got up to 75 degrees... we were THRILLED. Then we went into the kitchen and it was still freezing. But it's a start. :D Virginia is cold, but not as bad as here, and winters are shorter.
Red's fine, I like red. Anything bright and cheerful is fine by me.
