If happy little bluebirds fly...
Apr. 25th, 2004 08:25 pmSomewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true
Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?
That is the most wistful song. I actually think I'm going to use it in an Alias fic. It's such a Syd song, truly.
That, and it is so wistful- you want to be somewhere, anywhere but where you are, somewhere where you belong, somewhere where you fit in.
I made up with Nica, I think.
Alias is on in 37 minutes, massive joy. Except for the fact that Vaughn's getting tortured and Nads the Veggie is turning up. But ah well.
I found me a Judy Garland CD while looking for a Billy Joel CD with 'Vienna' (not in evidence) and let me say this: I adore Judy. Her and Natalie Wood. They rock on, my friends, ROCK ON.
