I seriously wish Tricia Helfer was in everything, and by everything I mean all TV programs that I watch. Dr Six on Greys! Jackie D's new girlfriend on 30 Rock! A... sassy defense lawyer on SVU! (Not a victim, though. That'd be no fun.) A GUEST JUDGE ON ANTM. A... something on Bones, I don't even care. THE MOTHER ON HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. Seriously, just give me more Tricia that doesn't involve Two and a Half Men.

Gah! I keep seeing your pretty icons and wanting to read your BSG posts because I'm just getting into it, but I can't let myself get spoiled! For anything!

Um, so I'll be back in a month or two, lol, when I've gotten through the whole series. And then I will gush in all your posts about how amazing BSG is (because it is! Amazing!). :-D

PS- Clearly your love for Tricia Helfer is akin to my love for Katee Sackhoff. Or at least, my love for Starbuck. How is everyone in the world (both fictional and real) not in love with her??

People... hate Starbuck? That does not compute. OK, tbh, it doesn't totally throw my worldview off-balance to learn that there are people who find a strong, somewhat masculine, very abrasive, completely assertive woman unappealing. I guess I'm not shocked.

But...dear god. I want to be her. Or marry her, if I can't manage that. Especially as I just watched "valley of darkness" and learned that she's an artist. Of course she is.

I don't think I know anyone personally that does, but I'm sure there are masses of them for the very reasons you listed.

And that's like, the only reason I hate BSG: so much glory exists in one show. Like, it's HBIC Laura Roslin, but also HBIC Kara Thrace and HBIC [insert specific Six here]. And all my ships! There is so much awesomeness it is hard to choose.

Right? Right?! The women on this show are unbelievable! I've never seen sci fi do us so well. :-D And the funny thing is that, the men all love or respect these smart and amazing women, just like in real life. Whereas on TV, it's usually some superficial bimbo version of a sexpot that's the object of everyone's desires.

One reason why Starbuck may not be so universally hated is because she manages to be all those things I said, and still be really, really sexy. I'm sure that helps her appeal quite a bit! ;-)

Oh, and question: what the hell was up with Gaius being in love with Starbuck? Unless it's a big spoiler, can you tell me if that ever goes anywhere? Because while his initial crush on her was cute, the whole heartbroken, lovesick thing came way the hell out of nowhere, yes/no? (I'm referring to the end of season 1, btw)

Haha-- I had to reply to this. I'm so not suprised that the show never went anywhere with the Gaius/Thrace. While it was cute, it was so incredibly random and abrupt. (If you're curious, re-watch the season 1 finale. Gaius mopes over her for like the entire episode, and Six gets all jealous)

I KNEW I FORGOT A SHOW I WAS WATCHING. I literally was going through day by day, and I clearly skipped Sunday entirely. 100% YES on Mad Men. I KIND OF WANT HER TO BE FRIENDS WITH JOANIE. Or, you know. "Friends" with Joanie. Or she could bang Don, I'd be cool with that too. (I am magnanimous, I know.)
