So last night I watched 1.06, and holy crap, I didn't realize the show was going to get that good ALL AT ONCE. Also, for a moment I was like, omg, Adelle DeWitt, you're fabulous but evil and kind of in a frightened way rather than an admiring way? But then she proved to be both in an admirable way (plus, she makes distinctions between "playing a good hand and playing a bad hand well," which, I think I love her, so what am I so afraid of?) and btw I think I might ship Helo/Echo solely because they both have callsign names Helo's in love and I refused to support him on BSG so I need to give him a break, right? Also I am deeply shamed that I didn't think, ooh, Melli's a Cylon DOLL THERE ARE NO CYLONS SELF, because she so totes is now that I see it, but also, ~someone~ programming Echo to be all OMG HELO HERE'S SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS.

Also, way to make me feel bad for the vaguely sympathetic, vaguely creepy porn mogul who wants to have a fake girl pretend to be his dead fiancée. I DO NOT WANT TO BE THIS PERSON.

And I learned that in addition to playing Faith, Eliza Dushku plays a pretty convincing blind religious nut. Which... go figure.

Concurred all over! Except for shipping Paul/Echo, which I have never managed, but dude, A+. It will make your Dollhouse-viewing experience much easier.

ADELLE JUST OWNS THE WHOLE DAMN WORLD IN THIS EPISODE. I mean, not that that's new for her, but still. And she and Dominic get to hang out all sexy in her dimly lit office and torture a guy, which, as we all know (we being, er, like, me and the members of the D/D community) is the them equivalent of a date.

I KNOW, RIGHT. The end of this episode is so poignant and then you kinda step back and go, '... but wait. Ew.' But then it's so poignant that you don't really care! This show has wreaked such havoc on my morals. I do not -- actually care. The things it can do with a musical montage ...

Right?? That is one of my favourite Echo imprints, I think. I love that scene at the beginning in the car with Boyd.

So I made the mistake of getting curious about damn Melli, and read a whole bunch of stuff on the wiki and I DON'T THINK I CAN LIKE THIS ANYMORE. It is only going to bring me pain; also, WHAT IS THIS MISS LONELY HEARTS BUSINESS. WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE, ADELLE DEWITT, SLEEPING WITH A DOLL? WHAT IS THIS TOMFOOLERY, NITA.

Or, er -- it's all very full of pain, but also good, I promise. In theory, Miss Lonelyhearts sounds questionable, but somehow, against all odds, it only contributes a zillion fold to Adelle being the best character ever. Olivia Williams gets so much great material to ROCK THE HELL OUT OF as the show goes on.

Bitch, please, I am spoiled for everything now. Once Alias ended, so did my moratorium on spoilers. I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING AND I WANT TO KNOW IT NOW!

IT SOUNDS VERY QUESTIONABLE INDEED. AND THOUGH I WAS DELIGHTED BY HER DRUGGED ANTICS, I AM NOW FROWNING VERY STRONGLY AT MS ADELLE DEWITT.

Oh, it's so beautiful though! I think "A Spy in the House of Love" has some of Dollhouse's very best scenes ever in terms of quiet, thoughtful, SO POIGNANT IT SHALL RIP YOUR HEART OUT acting. It's sort of like the end of "Man On The Street" TIMES FIVE BILLION in the '... this should be creepy, but instead it's just tearing my heart out!' department. Also, I feel like this is where it first starts to become apparent that Enver is such a good actor it is almost scary.

Fact: I have no morals actually at all where Adelle DeWitt is concerned. She can do whatever! Except maybe get a haircut. But I even reconciled with that move, which was quite frankly the ultimate proof of my devotion.

Yeah, I have to wait to watch 1.09 until later, because I am hardcore hating 1.08 and am going through it slowly. THIS IS BORING. I DON'T WANT REBELLING DOLLS. Until probably later when I decide I like them best, like I did with Cylons. Oh, self.

It's made of brown! SCIENCE DOESN'T KNOW! Everything Adelle & Topher do in that episode is like heaven. And also Dominic and his suit. Oh, sweet trifecta of morally questionable DHizzle staff members!

I feel you there! 1.08 is one I don't think I've ever actually rewatched before. I've seen the, like, collective one minute of Adelle & Dominic screentime VERY OFTEN, but not so much with the rest of it.

1.09 is episode-shaped perfection. It is just all around super-goodness. (But mostly for Adelle and Dominic-type reasons. What, there are other human beings on this show? Surely we're not supposed to find them interesting, right?)

I'm about to watch 1.09. Unfortunately for it, it has to compete with the fact that I just watched the BSG finale.
