I made the mistake of complaining to Melissa (who has the same assignment due) that I didn't want to write my paper; she smacked me with this reality.

Melissa: ok well
Melissa: at least you're not natalie getting raped a thousand times
Melissa: (i think it's natalie)
Me: Gina
Melissa: writing a paper IS preferable
Melissa: LOL whatever. a 6
Me: but you're right
Melissa: indeed

I kind of love that I flail about my Sixes enough that she can name them, even if she has trouble remembering which is which. Considering she's seen like, 1/16th of the whole show, it's pretty impressive.

Also, a pat on the back for enduring flailing. It's hard for people to put up with mine. Example:

Me: OMG MOM, I'M GONNA DYE MY HAIR RED SO I CAN BE JUST LIKE LAURA ROSLIN, MY LIFESPIRATION!

Mom: Your life...spiration?

Me: YES I'M GONNA BE JUST LIKE HER WHEN I GROW UP. OMG OMG.

Mom: *sigh* Oh God, I hope not.

Yeah, my parents and sister are a lot less accepting of my flail, but my BFF is very, very understanding and indulgent of my obsessions.

(I actually yelped at the TV when she lost all of it. My brother laughed at me, because he kept taunting me with the inevitable bald!factor. But wtf RDM, she gets to keep her eyelashes and eyebrows but not her hair? Go big or GO HOME, Ron. Even though I grew kinda-sorta-really fond of the wig.)

*tackles with snuggles* I thought you wrote my fic, because it was so awesome and perfect, but I'm so glad I was right, and that it was you! It truly was such an amazing fic.

Also, i remember you saying that you were between four fics when you selecting which story you wanted to remix- would you mind telling me which ones didn't make the cut? I'm dying of curiosity.

I am so insanely happy that you liked it. I sort of spazzed when I got you as my assignment and then I sorta freaked.

I was torn between "TGATG" (which won out, obviously), "beyond this place of wrath and tears" (which, I thought was absolutely gorgeous and brilliant btw), "where the blues and greens swirl into gray", and "All Gods are Carnivorous".

It was so tough. I just sort of let them all marinate in my mind until I decided on the one I did. And then after a week of worry, I finally came up with how to spin it at two o'clock in the morning. :)

I looooved it. I'm so interested by the runners-up, especially the Gina one- there are things in common, but they're so different!
