IT'S NOT EVEN TEN YEARS OLD YET, GODDAMN.

Again, it’s only very initial talk at this point, but I’m told that the development folks over at the Alphabet network are considering doing a new version of Alias that would borrow some elements of the original series…..But the series would most likely not include any sort of complex mythological throughline such as the Rambaldi prophecy (a storyline that lost some of the fans).

I don't think this will actually happen, but I AM NERVOUS JUST THE SAME. MY BABIES!!!

Edit: I just watched the ad for JJ's new show, which looks absolutely delightful, but they use so many damn locations from Alias episodes that I find really jarring.

I have been attempting to process this information all morning.

I think I come down on the side of reboot no -- spinoff/other spy show definitely in the same universe yes.

I would be inclined to agree with you- I'd be pleased to see the universe expanded, but the reboot just bewilders me.

The more Alias the better IMO. I say that now, though who knows what they might come up with. And I'll always be pro-Rambaldi.

That just seems silly! It just ended the other day! But I'm with Yahtzee, if instead it's just a spy show in the same universe, then I'll bring the champagne. Already in my mind, until told otherwise, Undercovers is in the same universe as Alias.

That's my deal too- the show ended like five minutes ago, how can you reboot it already! But I'm with you both- a spy show that is in our universe- like Undercovers!- I'll be there with bells on.

I'm not a fan so I have no deep personal feelings, but I must say the remake fever annoys me. Every movie seems to be a remake of something right now, and it's coming into TV as well. Are we going to run out of original show ideas? Can't you make a spy show inspired by Alias without being a complete remake?

The remake fever annoys me too. I don't understand why it's like Hollywood has run out of ideas- or, more accurately, Hollywood doesn't want to take a chance on anything new. It's sad.
