Right, today is early release day and I am home at one in the afternoon. Revel, baby, just revel.
Turns out we're doing 'The Playboy of Seville' for our class play and I'm really, really not happy with it. At all. In the least. Like, I thought the play was good, but I really wanted to do 'Competition Piece'. I really really wanted to do 'Cut', but I knew voting for that would be like voting for the Green Party- a wasted vote, 'cause you know they're not gonna win.
Let's see. Philly has walking pneumonia, I wore the same color pants and top as two other girls in drama (woot!) working with people in math is the way to go, and having a good student write your essay is just pure genius.
And, sadly, I am addicted to a country music song because of an Alias fan video. Oh, Tim McGraw, why must you warble so heartfelt-ly?
So, today I started The Chronicles of Narnia, which I Have Never Read. Why? Not sure. I know I read 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe', and I vaguely remember reading some other ones, but I never read the first one. But no matter. Now I'm going to read them all, and in chronological order to boot. Booyah.
Anyway, in this one fic that was like, set in an apocalyptic world, someone had Syd reading TLTW&TW, and she mentioned how she always heard Aslan's voice as SpyDaddy's. Which was all fine and good until Jen Garner said in one of the commentaries that she always thought Carl Lumbly's (Dixon) voice was that of Aslan. As I haven't gotten to the lion king yet, it doesn't matter, but I sense a dilemma coming.
However, the voice of Jadis was no problem. Insanely beautiful, dangerous queen. Who like, killed her sister. Um, hello? SPYMOMMY? Oh, Lena. Lena, Lena, Lena. How you voice my evil, beautiful queens. LENA, COME HOME!
In math today, this kid named Wayne who sits at my table was reading some comic magazine (?) and there was a big pic of Jen in it 'cause they were doing a spot on Elektra. I read it and I was all, squee, Jen! My fave! And Alexandre was all, she's pretty and Wayne was all... 'You look like her, kinda'
Which made me squee.
I think Syd is Polly and Sark is Diggy, who has a longer name but I can't remember it. And Sloane is totally Uncle Andrew. Like, so totally.
Making a new fanvideo to The Wallflowers's 'Witness'. It's fun.
I should get offline so as to not be onlined out by the time people come. People! Come!
