Sunday Night = Alias
Jan. 2nd, 2005 05:14 pmSo, it's Sunday. And I'm psyched for Alias. But my subconscious mind is going, WHEE! SUNDAY NIGHT! ALIAS! And no matter how many time I slap it with a stick, it keeps going, "You must do this and this and this and this so that you can be ready for ALIAS at nine! BSH-WEEEEEE!"
To which I said, NEIN, Brain! Nyet! Non! C'est pas aujourd'hui! C'est MERCREDI!
Zut.
Watched three episodes of XF today- "Fire," "Beyond the Sea," and "Gender-Bender."
"Fire" had that nasty British bitch, Phoebe, whom I wanted to die slowly and excruciatingly. Dana, of course, was darling as usual, and Cecil was just really, really creepy. Dana was all about petting Mulder and being sweet and it was Just. So. Cute.
"Beyond the Sea" made me cry because when Daddies die I always go into hysterics and why Dana's daddy? Why? And I love that song. And them playing it at the funeral, and Dana asking Mama Scully if Papa Scully was proud of her... gosh oh me oh my. I cried. Then that creepy Luther dude... man, he was creepy. But not in a Donnie Pfaster way. More in a Martin Shephard way from Season One. Of course, Martin Shephard was played by the guy who was Evie's brother in "The Mummy" and he was actually very nice and had a super major big crush on Syd and Luther whasshisface... well, wasn't very nice... but still! And Mulder called Dana "Dana" THREE TIMES. THREE. And Luther called her Dana for a while. That was creepy.
And when he sang 'Beyond the Sea'... holy snap. Gave me THE CHILLS.
And then I cried at the end because Dana accepted that her Daddy was dead but he was proud of her and eee Dana I love you.
Gender-Bender was hysterical because I love movies and TV shows and books about the Amish and those kinds of sects and stuff, so 'The Kindred' made me die laughing. And Mel and I noticed automatically that there was an absolute lack of children. And that, duh, the gender-bending "Marty" was a member of The Kindred so, like DUH they can all do it too.
And that dude? Brother Dana's Boyfriend? It was creepy, yo, the way he molested Dana's hand. And then tried to molest Dana. And Dana was all... must... resist... "no," ... and then Mulder jumped in to save her, and then he was clutching her to his side when they were running to escape the Evil Cult... so cute. I love them so.
Mom and Mel went and worked out at the gym without me, and then went to see 'Meet the Fockers,' because they knew I didn't want to go to the movies and they knew I wanted to see it, and Mel's still bitter Mom and I saw 'Ocean's 12' without her. So, Mel calls to gloat that she saw an ALIAS commercial on the big screen.
Little biter.
I still have homework. Le sigh.

Date: 2005-01-02 02:34 pm (UTC)Fire is so much fun! Except for the whole British Bitch From Hell part. She's a bit unfortunate. But, ya know, a necessary evil. I enjoy that episode.
Beyond the Sea is deeeefinitely on my Best Episodes Ever list. That is the first XF episode that ever made me cry! (This is the sort of stuff that one must remember.) Poor Dana. She was majorly anguished.
Gender-Bender is way bizarre, and eerily reminiscent of the second episode of Angel. Except for the Amish people part. But, ya know, other than that!
And . . . I am. Doing. Homework.
(Le cough.)
