Gakked from many:

1) Scan my interest list and pick out the one that seems the most odd to you.

2) I'll explain it. (if possible)

3) Then you post this in your journal so other people can ask you about your interests.

Does anyone else think it's interesting that the Irish chick from last week was involved in an IRA bombing that killed a father and two sons?

And that Julia Thorne had a father and two brothers who died... in, like, a house fire?

Is it bad that I am desperately clinging to Julesy like so?

Hmmm. Enlighten me about La Femme Nikita, because I've heard of it on numerous occasions but don't actually have any idea what it's about. It's a . . . TV show that was once a movie or something, right? But, see? As far as my knowledge goes.

And dude, I am so down with the desperate clingage. I have decided that I'm allowed to desperately cling to Irina, 'cause, hi, SpyMommy, but . . . am also clinging desperately to Lauren. Like, every mention there is of her, I feel compelled to think, "Oh, Vaughn, you know you so dug her." or "Oh, Syd, you know you so wanted to be BFFs." And J.J. probably ain't all keen on bringing her back because the fans will probably hunt him down and kill him, but I miss her. *tear* It's like, what's life without the cheap and evil girl? Really.

I cling ever-so-fiercely to Mommy because she's Mommy and all... and I miss Lauren so much, too! And Julia. Oh, my Jules. *sob*

Nikita is, as you said, a show based on a movie, that was originally made in French and than made into a movie in English with Bridget Fonda. I've seen neither.

The show is about this blonde woman who was framed for killing some dude and was brought into an organization called 'Section'

The thing about Section is that it's pretty much SD-6, but more intense. Like, literally, there is no life outside the Section. None. Whatsoever. You lived, breathed and died Section.

Nikita was trained to be an agent, but they constantly bash the "Nikita-hates-to-kill-pople" stick over your head.

And her Handler's name is Michael.

And he's really pretty.

Walter is the show's Marshall, and he has a Frohike-like crush on Nikita- he's an old hippie-type guy.

Operations is like Sloane... but he's really, really creepy. Like, I hated him so much just because he creeped me out. He's not a Sexy Beast. He's not charming. He's like, Sloane sans everything that makes him lovable.

Madeline is the therapist person- not Barnett, but more important, and a thousand times cooler.

Birkoff was like, the second Marshall, he annoyed me.

And Michael was... nothing like Vaughn. Other than he loved his asset. But whatever.

And they had an Arcadia episode!

Accents. Think about this, Becky. People whose voice take on characteristics of their place of birth/ country.

French accents. Italian. British. Scottish. Irish. German. Accents that make me go weak in the knees.

*sigh*

Not accents like é or ñ, or decorating accents to brighten up a room.

"bickering couples" :P

And yes, clinging is fun, but sadly, I really don't think JJ is all that clever. Heh.

I think I took that from Nita- because bickering couples rock. I mean, think of the SpyRents in India. Think of C.C. and Niles in 'The Nanny.' My god, think of Peggy and Al Bundy!

Bickering couples are amusing, because you know that they love each other. But verbal abuse can be awful amusing.

Oh, lord.

Okay. you know how many people do fan art. Fan art also includes the manipulation of pictures- for example, people who ship impossible ships (such as Sarkney, which is Sark and Sydney) will manipulate pictures so that you see Sydney's head pasted on Lauren's body from the scene where Lauren and Sark had sex. This has been done quite successfully.

However, most of the time it's blatantly obvious, and eventually someone made a teasing image of it- Sark's head was pasted on someone else's body, and the text read, "My hed iz pastedded on yey!"

And ever since we've been making fun of it.

Since Tessie asked, I'm going to be lazy and just c-n-p:

Well, why did the Beverly Hillbillies want to move there?

"Swimmin' pools... movie stars..."

I guess I have a fascination with California because it's the last frontier before the ocean... you know, the other ocean, the one I haven't seen. It's the closest to Florida's weather, hence the only place I could consider living.

And it's a state full of glamourous, beautiful rich people and celebrities and fame and glory.

California's mythical.
