So, last night I watched that episode of Dollhouse after 'The Attic' whose title I no longer recall, because the title should be 'Shit Gets Real.'

Topher called Adelle DeWitt their general, truer words were never spoken. )

Tess linked me to this, and it's like... the best description of Dollhouse ever, including shirtless Helo. Mm. Shirtless Helo.

I can't believe spring break is almost over. Back when "She's All That" came out, back in... I don't even know, middle school, the movie starts as the students are coming back from Spring Break, and Usher, the school... DJ (run with it) he announces that the student body is now facing the "home stretch": the time between spring break and the end of school. Ever since then, that is how I view this time of the year. This always had particular relevance when I was approaching graduation.

And I am not entering the home stretch. THE ULTIMATE HOME STRETCH.

And I just lost an hour of spring break.

So, Dollhouse, last night we parted on bad terms. And then you come back and SUDDENLY ADELLE DEWITT HAS SHORT HAIR, which, what? but then- but then!

BUT THEN SHE WAS MARRYING LELAND JOSEPH ADAMA.

SO I FORGIVE YOU, DOLLHOUSE.

So... Epitaph One happened. Consequently, I'm writing an angry letter to a defunct TV show. )

So, this morning, after work called and woke me up to ask if I could work later (the answer is always yes!) I went back to sleep and dreamt that the fleet of Galactica made it to earth with a near-death Lauroslin, and somehow found the dollhouse.

There, the fabulous but evil Adelle DeWitt was like, as a sign of friendship from our people, the Rossum corporation is willing to scan your president's brain so that she can rule FOREVER (because, well, why should Rossum/DeWitt care about the word 'president' if no one on the show does?) and they're all like OMG OKAY and then they get a Six who is done with the whole trying to make humans like them deal and figures that this is the best gift she can give her siblings, and agrees to become President Lauroslin.

(Also, somehow they had Ellen's scans too, and Papadama was kind of like, hey. Hey, bro. Do you want Ellen back? Cause we can do that. And Tigh was like D: about it, because he wanted his Ellen, but then he realized when he talked/slept with Caprica he saw his Ellen anyway, and in my dream I was like NO DREAM SAUL NO because it was like watching an episde.)

So, yeah, Lauroslin was going to get that whole new blonde body thing she talked about in Resurrection Ship. And now I kind of want to write this? I have issues.

... ALSO LOL I am now realizing that there would be TWO HELOS, both tall and morally judgmental, as Topher said, tall-ing around and being all THIS ISN'T RIGHT, THEY'RE PEOPLE TOO and Adelle DeWitt preaching about how that Six was being more selfless than any of them could ever dream and freeing her people- all her people- and everyone's all touched and skeeved out at the same time and Helo's like, BUT THEIR SOULS and they're like, can it, Ballard, and he's like STOP CALLING ME THAT and then Papadama has to send him back to Galactica because he can't handle the excitement and Kara laughs at him.

"That sounds a bit creepy. I shall watch this."

UM. SHE LOVES ABBA, AND QUOTED FERNANDO. I just can't even deal with that.

(I also realized I don't post nearly enough, and, in consequence, hardly use my icons. I'm paying for extra, and I hardly post. This needs to be rectified. You lucky dogs!)

Soooo... I kind of started watching Dollhouse today. I really didn't know what to expect going in- mostly because I've been reviling/relentlessly mocking the premise since before it premiered- and I'm still as confused now as I was before. Adelle DeWitt? Totally awesome. Laurent Dominic? I could totally start to dig him. African-American Gentleman who is Not Dixon but Should Be (and who I've been referring to as NotDix)? Nice. MORALLY UPSTANDING GENTLEMAN CAPTAIN KARL "HELO" AGATHON? DELIGHTFUL AS ALWAYS. (Yeah, he has another name on this show. No, I don't foresee myself using it.) The girl whose face I thought was really weird but who, upon watching her act, has won me over a bit? ... Okayish. Echo? Shut up. Shut up always. Clients who know what they're doing and then are weird? Shut up. Creepy mind erasing? Shut up. The fact that I can't seem to get it through my head that there is only one Echo and one Sierra etc etc and not multiples and if they die, that is, in fact, the end for them, aka, THEY ARE NOT CYLONS? Shut up, Self.

IN CONCLUSION: Nita told me it gets better further in, so I am going to get the second disc and... might just keep watching for Adelle, because she wears elegantly foxy outfits and has a very pleasant voice and looks like a very classy, very British AHC, which, win, AND ALSO ONE DAY BAMBER AND HOGAN WILL COME :-D. So yeah. That's me and Dollhouse.

(Also today it came out that my mom apparently has a thing for James Callis as Gaius? She really only saw him in the miniseries and then when he was on trial. I don't even know.)
