sunshine_queenI'm reading Regina's recap of the first episode from Wednesday, and I'm remembering the handkerchief that freaking Laszlo dude put down on the stump for Nadia to sit on. Remember, the one who called her the Virgin Mary?
Think that kerchief went onsale on eBay for avid Rambo freaks? "Handkerchief, sat upon by the actual Passenger."
Hey, if people bought the Virgin Mary grilled cheese...
Today I did the Chem exam- passed, passed passed!- and we convinced Corradino to let us do the essays next Wednesday, on make up day, because we were all too lazy to study last night and half the class was taking the IB ITGS exam, so yeah. We got lucky.
We also got talked to by Mr. Mahoney, our history teacher next year. He gave us our frightening syllabus for next year. The main theme, it seems? THE COLD WAR.
I have to read this book comparing Hitler and Stalin, and then another one aptly entitled "The Cold War."
Now, one half of my brain is groaning, because Russia back then was mostly grey and cold and not too happy. The other half?
AIIIIIIEEEE KGB IRINA AIIIIIIIIEEEEE!!!!
That same hyper portion of my brain was squealing when Mahoney told us that since we didn't study Juan Peron in Corradino's class, we'd have to study it on our own.
AIIIIIIEEEE ARGENTINA EVITA NADIA AIIIIIIIIEEEEE!!!!
So, yeah. Lots of historying going on next year.
As I'm still reading the recap, can I just say that Rambaldi's endgame being the apocalypse is... so not a surprise? I mean, yeah, we kinda never really get why, and Rambaldi's kinda wishy washy (he wants the know god, he wants to LET LOOSE A LOT OF BAD SHIT THAT KILLS PEOPLE AND ALMOST KILLS VAUGHN. he tells Sloane that peace is the word of rambo, HE COMES UP WITH KILLER FUCKING BEES AND THE SPHERE OF FUCKING LIFE. um, yeah. bipolar much?) but, dude. He's an evil genius. of course his endgame is the apocalypse. Wouldn't you be bummed out if it turned out his endgame was, like... for real, world peace? It'd be so lame.
Hee, 50% of people on TWoP think the funniest line from the Rich Bitch Syd act in Cannes is her withering "Once," myself included. And my sister was very disturbed at the idea of Syd seducing anyone to get information out of him. "What about Vaughn?" she squawked indignantly. "Honey," I replied, "'S in the job description."
... I might want to start studying for math. Just an idle thought wandering aimlessly about my empty, empty head.
