Hm, let's see. Much has happened in the past few days: (done in backwards Alias-style)

This MORNING:
7:30- Mom calls us from the airport telling us to get our asses up
8:00- Leave for pool
8:30- in pool

Wasn't too bad- one of the kids in my second class is a real pain in the ass, but I pretty much ignore him. Nicole and I managed to escape doing our laps by standing under the showers and getting ourselves believeably soaked. Desiree (the 12 year old) is one of my fave people on the planet. She is just too cute for words.

Today I got to finally talk to the little one I've been coveting from the two Desirees' and Heather's class. She's a four-year-old from their third class, and her name is Brittany (Britney?) She's just too darling. Little Desiree and I left the second class and walked to the patio, me begging her not to even go near Eileen (the aides person who got us to do laps) and there was Britney. Desiree ditched me for her laps, and Brittany's eyes suddenly fill up with tears and her lip starts quivering.

See Madi melt.

I ask her what's wrong and she's whimpering that she needs to ask her Mommy something. Her sister comes up and poor Brittany hugs her and starts to sniffle and the sister says that Brittany had been complaining of a sore throat earlier. Brittany still really wants to go see her mom. Madi cannot refuse a crying child. I take Brittany by the hand with the intent of finding one of the patio people to take Brittany out to find her mom, because I don't think I'm allowed to.

On our way to find the patio people, we cross paths with Desiree the teacher. She's all, Brittany, honey, what's the matter? I fill Desiree in. Desiree says, well, Brittany, don't you worry, because Madeline is going to take you out to find your mommy.

Well. No one argues with Desiree and so now I know I can't get in trouble.

So we leave the pool and walk the entire entrance way of the pool (which is really long, btw- I never walk it 'cause we go the VAC way) and there is no mom-of-Brittany to be found. Brittany's like, well, maybe she's out there, and gestures vaguely to the parking lot. I'm like, Baby, I don't think so, and I'm thinking, I don't think I'm allowed to be out here, let alone out in the parking lot. Brittany slumps defeatedly and tears up again.

Madi is like, oh, god, don't cry! So I pick her up and take her back to Desiree and Brittany sat outside the whole class. I watched her from my class. She really is the cutest thing ever.

Talked to Cynthia after classes end. I love Cynthia. She's so sweet. I've known her for, like, a million years and she really is an absolute doll. She asked me about school and even said to tell Patterson that I wanted her to be my pinner for the IB thing 'because we're practically family'. *grin*

Tried to go over to Becca's, but Becca wasn't home. Meh.

Came home, showered and ate lunch.

Watched the pilot episode of Alias with the commentary. Jen and JJ are so super cute.  They kept referencing Felicity which flipped Mel right out, because she had no idea what it was.

LAST NIGHT:

Came home from Becca's at 8. Went online and ignored mom and Mel and waited for Jeanie and Josh. Mom made dinner and wouldn't let us eat until Jeanie and Josh got here, which was at 11.

Had nice dinner (again) and chatted with the Js and my fam for a couple hours until Dad bailed and then Josh died from his cold. Went to bed around two.

YESTERDAY:

Was forced to do laps in swimming. Major drag. Nearly died.

Got picked up by Becca in her sweet sweet little Lexus. Went to her house and showered, and then we decided to not do what we planned to do and instead of going to the Biltmore pool, we went to Miami Beach. We walked it for two hours, going into trampy little stores and whorey stores and psychic stores and the FCUK store. Becca got a skirt and a FCUK shirt that I highly intend to borrow and I got a brownie from Ghiradelli. Mmhmm.

Went back to her house and we watched Spice World. I kid you not. And don't laugh either, because the Spice Girls? Best. Girl. Group. Ever.

Abby came home and we ordered a pizza and got that and breadsticks. We watched Fight Club, which was a really trippy, really awesome film. Brad Pitt is like... oh, god. So gorge. And I even liked Helena Bonham Carter, which is rare, because as a rule she bothers me. In this movie I was looking forward to her appearance. We also took fun/weird pics

Mom called at one point about Jeanie and Josh coming. I was all, the hell? Since when? Well, the Js were going to Costa Rica and their flight got effed up and now they were going to be sleeping in teh sunroom, re: my computer room. Meaning that while Mommy was at work, instead of being able to stay up until god knows when I'd have to relinquish the room by a decent hour. Fought with mom repeatedly.

Got to the point where Mom and I were hanging up on one another and snapping over the phone. Becca drove me home and came in to see my Abercrombie ensembles. We made plans for today, but oh well.

and then Josh died from his cold.

Yet he's still alive? That's pretty amazing.

And I never saw Spice World. Can you believe it? I had such a sad childhood. *sniffs*
