I got home a little while ago from Orlando.

Seeing Nica is awesome. It's so sad that we live so far away. And now that we've been spoiled- it's been only six weeks since I had seen her last- I don't know what we're going to do now.

We left at 6:30 yesterday morning, and were there before noon. We went to lunch at this Nascar racing thing. Her dad bought about five hundred coins so we could play games- race car ones, naturally, and motorcycle ones. Our mothers bonded over books on tape (strange, I know) and talked, apparently, about everything in the world together.

It was absolutely amazing how well our entire families got along. Mel and Chelsea went off and bonded, Ma and Terri bonded, Greg is a sweetheart to everyone. My mom kept saying that it was like family, and it totally was. And, Nica? On the way home I was like, so, did you notice how scary Nica and I was and she was like, OH MY GOD, YES.

After lunch we went back to the room and saw Nica's uncle John, who was also really funny and warm. Nica, Mel, Greg and I decided we wanted to go up to the big hotel to use their giant pool. We drive over to the hotel, only to find that it's $7 to park, but if we drive back and use the shuttle from the lobby we'd be okay. So we drive back and call the shuttle and go back to the hotel. We are just barely outside when it started to rain.

Well, rain's not bad, you're wet anyway, so we continue. As we make it to the actual pool deck, the lightning and thunder started, so we went to the Indoor Pool.

... to find that they closed it because of the storm.

... an indoor pool.

... whatever. So, we go into the lobby to see if we can wait out the storm, and Nica, Mel and I got these fantastic strawberry daiquiris. There were two storms, and sitting under a high glass roof when the lightning was striking every few minutes- it was amazing. At one point Nica asked me to name a tune that the muzak was playing, and I almost died when I couldn't figure it out- and then I did. "Can I have this kiss forever," Enrique Iglesias and Whitney Houston. Rock on.

Anyway, we decided to just go swimming the next day (today) and went back to the room. We ordered pizza and watched the news about Natalee, the plane crash in Toronto and the case in Colonie of a teacher sleeping with her student. Then we watched Big Brother, which is sickening addictive and freakish.

Nica and I then kicked everyone out of the living room and watched The Best Movie Ever together. We only do that in Florida, apparently. We skipped all the plot and watched Dana.

Then we watched some parts of XF- like Dana's little girl- and then we watched 'Requiem' and different scenes from 'The End' in different languages. Mulder speaking Japanese? Priceless. We might've watched another episode, but I forgot. We also, at some point, watched an episode of That 70s Show.

Then we went nani.

This morning, I woke up and fell asleep and woke up and fell asleep and Nica was listening to her iPod and then we watched some morning TV, including (aieee) Regis and Kelly, which was really Nick Lachey and Kelly. Yay.

Then! Mel and Nica and Greg and I went to the pool! It was delightful. There were hot tubs and the pool and waterfalls and slides... it was awesome.

We came home, took showers, and then went to lunch at the hotel. In the bus, we got asked for the second time, "Are you best friends?"

We had lunch at this super swank little restaurant at the hotel with delightful food. We had a great time- Nica and I said the same thing at the same time at least once, and everyone chatted really pleasantly and it was super nice.

Then we went to the bathroom- Nica, Chelsea, Mel and I- and we went in the great glass elevators! Went all the way to the top floor. Then Nica and I wanted to take a picture, so we had Mel standing in the door of the elevator and holding down the 'door open' button.

And then the elevator started making a horrible noise.

"OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT!" I cried, and we leapt out, and then we got in another one and went down in that.

Then Nica and I walked around sharing her iPod while our families shopped and wound sitting down in a lobby-like thing 'cause my ankle hurt and we were bored.

Then we went home, and we made sure we had everything, and then we went out back and took lots and lots of pictures. Nica's family needed to go to CVS, so we went out to the car (:-() and said goodbye and then they drove out and we followed them, and then we waved goodbye out the window as we turned onto... Osceola Parkway.

We listened to 'The Five People You Meet in Heaven' on audio tape and it was really glad. I'm super glad I didn't read it during school like I wanted to, because I would've totally wound up bawling in glass 'cause I cried, like, three times during the reading of it.

There was a horrific storm we got caught in for about twenty minutes halfway down here. It was like, zero visibility. I seriously started praying 'cause I was scared.

We made it home safe, though, and now here I am. Nicaless. :-(

Here is my obligatory reply!

Yay for seeing you again. I love the part where we went to the LIBRARY for the shuttle, seeing as how I remember it as we went to the LOBBY. But hey, my memory sucks; maybe you're right. :P

We need to get together again sooooooon. Maybe not 6 weeks soon (though that was kick ass), but sometime soonish, within like, 6 months. =D
