So. Let me recap from where I left off.

Heather picked me up the other day- Thursday- and we drove to Downtown Miami. Mind you, this place is scary as hell. I had a whole LJ in my mind. We went into rehearsal, and we got seated up in the seats of the arena to watch some rehearsals- we saw MC Hammer and Diddy- and we got food, and just as we were about to go down and rehearse, we hear that Katrina has been upgraded and they're sending us home.

So, there we all, all sitting, stupid and seventeen, and we're all like, yes, early dismissal! PARTY AT EMMA'S!

Anyway. We go outside.

The rain is coming fast and furious and freezing. The wind actually almost blew ME away, to say nothing of my lighter, flightier friends.

We go down to the parking lot, and we quickly decide that going to Emma's is perhaps not the best idea. We're all completely soaked from head to toe.

So, Heather, Philly, Addy and I begin the scariest ride of our lives.

On the express way, which Heather INSISTED we take, we could feel the wind pushing against the car. When we got into the grove, we could see the trees whipping around in the wind. Traffic lights were already out, and the rain was totally catastrophic. Heather dropped me off, and the three went to Philly's. Later, Heather went home, but Addy spent the hurricane at Philly's.

At home, we had already lost power. The storm was crazy wicked, and we watched some of it, and I listened to the iPod and shared with my mom and sister. Mom had bought this little latern/siren/radio/TV contraption that we teased her SO BAD about last year, but it was our best friend. I love watching the news and listening to shit.

I got ten hours of sleep last night. And the next night. AND LAST NIGHT. Why? Because there was nothing to do and no where to go.

I called Nica a few times... one time I was talking to her, and the palm tree in my backyard completely split and broke and fell down, leaving a giant splinter pointing up to the sky. By the next day our grapefruit tree was completely gone and so was the living part of our lemon tree. We were really lucky- a bunch of banyon trees all around town are down, and they're HUGE. Driving around town was an odyssey.

Went to rehearsals today, and saw Jamie Foxx, Kanye West and Kelly Clarkson. I heard "since you've been gone" about FIVE ZILLION TIMES, and I am SO COMPLETELY OVER IT. I mean, I liked it going in. And then I was sick of it. It was real cute- Kelly was sitting and watching us rehearse, and then she got up and just starting belting out the song. She's truly amazing. And really short! It's adorable. She's great.

Anyway, Heather and me drove home (after getting SOAKED) and we were starving, so we stopped at KFC on the way home... and no chicken. We got biscuits. Then we got into the drive thru of the Wendy's- and it was CLOSED, but it totally looked OPEN, so there was a long ass line and everything... and finally I came home. No power.

I had a total melt down, and was screaming and crying and upset- and then THE LIGHTS TURNED ON. It was a MIRACLE. And I got to charge my phone and my iPod and turn on the computer and it WORKED and the AIR CONDITIONING and the REFRIGERATOR... it was a glorious, miraculous thing.

I guess my only complaint- beyond the obvious awfulness of the non-electricity-thing- is about my friends. And by friends I mean Heather, Philly and Addy. It's really reaching the point of no return and I'm totally beginning to not even care. I actually wished today that I hadn't invited them (Heather and Philly) to the VMAs and had gotten Becca and Tata to come instead.

But would Vaughn and Dana be a good couple? I don't think so. Mainly because they're both so hopelessly devoted to their significant others.

Irina/Sark or Irina/Sloane. Awww, man, that's not FAIR. Irina/Sloane is canon because, hello, Nadia, and Irina/Sark is subtexty... but I think I'd rather have Irina/Sark. Because Irina/Sloane, in all its SEXY BEAST glory, is too gross.

I would title it SICK AND WRONG INCEST FANTASY. And the only person brave enough, or, crazy enough, to read it, would be Tess and Me. And NO ONE should write it. EVER.

Mulder/Nadia? Well. I'd be a bit confused. As they come from different fandoms. But kinda warm and fuzzy, because it'd be cute! But what about Dana? I guess I'll go with conflicted.
