sunshine_queen | Lazy, Crazy days of summer

Yesterday was mad fun. I went to Becca's and showered and we went thrift shopping and tried on really ugly jackets (yellow for me, pink for her) and really ugly dresses (Becca hit the jackpot with this horrific wedding dress that was stiff and beaded and horrid; I got a slightly better black velvet dress with this goldish greenish shiny tack fabric skirt and puffed sleeves) and bah. We walked a strip mall and talked and talked. We bought lots of food- M&Ms, candy strawberries that remind me of Abuela and gummi peaches that remind me of Philly and the Epcot trip, pita bread and other yummy stuff from this Middle Eastern market. Becca and I drove around and chatted and honestly, Becca is so fantastic. We had a ball.

Then we went home and ate, and I got Becca hooked on Alias 'cause I baited her with the pilot. She immediately latched on because she is an intelligent soul and a lovely individual. I'm getting together with her tomorrow.

Today, I went to Tata's. We ran a million errands with her mom and we had fun. She trimmed my bangs and then straightened my hair, so I looked like not!Syd from the beginning of the finale. We got ice cream! Then we went home and Melba was in Tata's room ordering a bed and Tata and I were reading magazines, and after I finished I fell asleep until Melba decided that tickling my feet and playing the radio loudly was a necessary action. Got up and went with tata to watch TV in the living room.

I love my friends. Spending time with them is so rewarding. Walking around home depot with my arm linked with Tata, getting a new song to associate with her each time I see her- now it's 'Tipsy'- and talking about everything and nothing with her and Melba is fantastic. Becca and me cruising the gables, playing the Spice Girls fullblast and listening to Becca dissolve into giggles as the FedEx truck ahead of us sends cascades of leaves to the ground in its wake... that, my friends, is happiness.

I'm going to Beck's tomorrow, and yay.
