So, the iTunes update to 5.0 might be responsible for my connection woes.

Today Mom and Dad went to see Paul McCartney in concert. It was very exciting for them. I was by my lonesome at home for hours and hours! It was so lonely.

And now, meme:

Look at your LJ "interests" list. If you have fewer than 50 interests, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five interests, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five interests, pick every tenth one. If you have fewer than ten, pick all of 'em. List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly what it is about these things that interests you so much.

- bickering couples

Oh, honestly, who doesn't love couples that nyah and bicker? They're some of the most amusing things in entertainment. From Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant in 'Bringing Up Baby,' to Jack and Irina in 'Alias,' couples who don't always get along are almost always more interesting that couples that do.

- chanel

One of my favorite brands, and definitely one of the more sophisticated. It's elegant, it's classic, and the double C logo is one of the loveliest things ever manufactured.

- daredevil

I'm one of... oh, I don't know, five, ten people in the world who actually loved this movie. And what's not to love. There's Ben Affleck wearing a hero suit, and Jen Garner looking pretty and kicking ass. Goodnight and thank you.

But more than that, I think that given, like... a lot more time to develop... Elektra and Matt could've had a seriously adorable relationship. It was kind of on Miracle Gro, but we all wanted to see Elektra and Matt have sex and the sooner the better. And they did have a seriously adorable relationship while it lasted. Even though Matt was all blind and shit. And then Elektra died. And then she came back in another movie, got into some burgundy leather... and wound up having a crush on Johnny Angelov. Whatever.

- fictional romance

More fun than real romance, not that I speak from experience or anything. Fictional romance is fun, easy and simple, and really awesome to get addicted to, and provides hours of entertainment. Pick up some today!

- katharine hepburn

A fantastic actress who was really a trendsetter in acting. She was classy but gritty and told you like it was. She could be an insanely talented dramatic actress or a sidesplitting screwball comedienne, but she always made it work, and she looked wonderful doing it.

- jennifer garner

Oh. Oh, she's like, only my favorite person in the world. And not only because she's beautiful, and very fit, and extremely talented. And I know she's an actress, but she seriously seems like one of those people you meet in some strange circumstance, like a waiting room at the DMV and wound up becoming best friends because you're sitting next to each other and she's just so personable and sweet that you wind up exchanging phone calls and suddenly she's your maid of honor at your wedding because you guys are just so compatible, you know?

And. Er. She's a good person, as far as I can tell, and she's very, very pretty. The end.

- lauren reed

The Cheap and Evil Girl. The first time I saw Lauren in Action she had already become the Cheap and Evil Girl, so I can't really say that I've always loved her, 'cause I hated her from afar, but then the eyeliner came and I was all, ooh, que pretty, and que evil. Anyway, Lauren was cute and flirty and actiony and lovely and we loved her and Vaughn loved her but that was the problem, 'cause Vaughn was 'apposed to love Syd, and loving two gals at once doesn't work, unless both girls are Spice Girls and they're in a pop band on a CD cover. Then, feel free. I love her because she was great and interesting and she's no longer there. :-(

- miami

(This was between Mia Maestro and Michael Vartan. That was cruel.)

I really do love Miami, though. I was born and raised here, and it's so different from every other city in America. It's so far away from the rest of the country it practically feels like another country, and we're so full of immigrants and people from other countries that there is no set life view or values, and everything is up for grabs. It's a very vibrant city, and everything moves fast, but belatedly so, 'cause we all run on Cuban time. And towns where everyone speaks english is completely overrated.

- nadia/vaughn

*dances* yesss!

This is seriously a messed up ship. I mean, for starters, Vaughn is Syd's Only One, and Syd is Vaughn's Only One. See the heading of my LJ? Yeah. And secondly? Nadia is Syd's sister. Which totally means that even if she breaks up with Vaughn, he is completely off-limits because hello, rules of sisterhood.

But it would so work. They've both been hurt, and they both have been known to dabble in the crazy pond, and if anything were to happen to Sydney, where would one find solace? In the other's arms. It's so wrong it's right, friends.

- piano

I would give anything to play the piano. Honestly. I think it's the prettiest instrument and sound ever. Everything about it is so elegant and classic and beautiful and :-(.

- s/v

Gom, the fates gave me SyVa. This is my lucky day. They are my one and only OTP, and I love them more than I love most physical things in my life and the result is an unhealthy interest in them.

They are absolutely perfect for each other. Syd needs someone to lean on, Vaughn needs someone to support. Syd needs someone normal, and Vaughn is (was) as close to that as she could get.

And they're both fantastically beautiful people.

I could go on. I choose not to.

- spydaddy

The absolute most amazing character in the whole wide world is Jack Bristow from Alias. Accept this and you will be a happier person.

- the blues brothers

Oh, a great movie. Amusing circumstances, classic comedians, and Carrie Fisher.

- vaughn/irina

Another oh-so-sick-and-twisted pairing. Poor Vaughn is just drawn to Derevko blood, like moth to a flame. Poor silly goose.

I love this meme. I am so tempted to go back and do it with all my interests. Because that's how much of a life I don't have.

Bickering couples are the best. And Jen is the cutest ever. And I adore and miss Miss Reed. And OMG, in the way of Naughty, you have to read that APO book!! It's called 'Replaced' and is by Emma Harrison and you need to find it somehow! Need to!

Derevkos are so hard to resist. Poor Vaughn.

From Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant in 'Bringing Up Baby,' to Jack and Irina in 'Alias,' couples who don't always get along are almost always more interesting that couples that do.

Two of my favorite couples! Kate and Cary are just adorable in "Baby." But what I really love about that movie is how the characters they play are so different from their normal type-cast. Cary usually plays these suave debonair says-the-right-words-at-the-right-time kinda guy. But the guy he plays in this movie is more of an intellectual guy, and he's a big dork! Wasting all of his energy to find that one dino bone. He kinda reminds me of Marshall in way, don't ya think? And Kate's Susan is just a bubbly, ditzy, internal-blonde type. And Kate usually plays head-strong, feminist women. But Susan is crazy! And the two characters together just add for a funny and cute movie experience.

I don't have a "Baby" icon, so I'm going to have to settle for "Breakfast at Tiffany's"
