I just got home from

It was a good movie. It'll probably grow on me- I might see it again with my mother and sister- because I didn't know anything about the story or the music- and I've never gone into a musical completely blind before. I know most musicals.

There was just so much going on, and Carol even said that if you didn't know the musical going in, you were at a disadvantage, because SO much was going on.

I got to Sunset Place at 8:03, or something, and had to wait 'cause I was the first one there. Out of the end product of some thirty people I knew Carol, Javier, Heather Gaines (who I went to preschool with, go fig), Hernando, Steve-o, Tommy and his girlfriend Shanique. I met new people and had a generally good time. It's the first time since NYC that Carol and I have gotten together outside of school for a non-school-related event. Or the VMAs, which don't count.

And, um, the guy who played Angel reminded me of Fez. Which might have something to do with the fact that I watched an hour of "That 70s Show" before going to Sunset Place, but, you know, whatever.

And I liked Mimi. I might not the next time I see it (which is why I'm not giving my opinion of anyone else... as they're very, very subject to change) but I do now.

And I have been up since six this morning and am exhausted. Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans (or to those of you who aren't American and decided to pick up the holiday for your own purposes; whatever makes you happy.)

Ohhh, man, I want to see Rent. I am so jazzed about The Tango Maureen. And I'm dying to see Idina Menzel in general. She just intrigues me.

Of course, it will probably never come here. Bah!

I think 'Tango Maureen' was my favorite sequence. Well, second favorite. The most visually stunning was "Rent."

Idina intrigued me a lot more before the movie. I wasn't so much a fan of her.

And it will too.

It might be interesting, depending on when they get it at the Vogue. :p

I saw it. I liked it. I knew some of what was going to happen. My friend let me borrow the Broadway Soundtrack, ,so I was somewhat familiar with the plot. I want to go see it again. I really want to see the La Vie Boheme scene where they're in that restaurant.. hehe. I love it.

I was at the last first-day showing of it, and it was full of rabid Rent-heads, and everyone was very, very excited. And I was very ... because I knew nothing about it.

I did love the La Vie Boheme sequence. Do you agree that the most stunning was the "Rent" scene?

Happy Thanksgiving, Madi. :)

And I want to see Rent. Badly. I'm just not sure how much I will like it now, since I've been hearing some not-so-great things.

Happy Thanksgiving, love!

Some people I was with didn't like it, and it's widely agreed upon that it's no where near as good as the musical on stage, but I think it was a good film. Like, I'm not lamenting the $8 I spent on my ticket, you know?

I too am curious to see Idina. I adore the Wicked soundtrack (although thus far the Fates have conspired to prevent me from seeing it several times) and I am interested in seeing her. It was sold out yesterday, though, so I haven't seen it yet. But I WILL.

I've been downloading random Idina stuff from iTunes, actually. :D

I finally gave up and downloaded "Popular" but I'm not so fond of Idina.

I liked Glinda much better at first -- Idina is an acquired taste, I think. If you want a good Idina "Wicked" song, get "The Wizard and I" -- she's got SOME set of pipes.

Glinda is in "Bewitched," btw -- she plays the crazy short little friend of Nicole.
