sunshine_queenSee, I'm not so thrilled about the whole "Return of Anna Espinosa" thing just because it feels unnecessary. It was cool that they brought her back last season, because it was like an ECD thing (omg, where is the Evil Chinese Dentist? Are we ENDING THE SHOW without him? This is just too much for me.) but now? Whyyy Anna? Leave Syd alone, Jesus.
That said.
OMG WILL! HOLY LORD ON HIGH! I LOVE WILL! SO MUCH! OMG WILL CAME BACK AND HE'S GONNA HANG OUT WITH SYD AND OH MY GOD WILL WILL WILL YOU'RE BACK!
(Have I, uh, ever mentioned that I love Will? A whole lot? No? Huh. I do.)
Aieeee 6 minutes until new Alias! With babies and Willllllllllllllllllllllllllll!
We start with Sloane going to see that James guy who can cure Nadia in Minsk. He meets the Alliance v. 2.0, and they're all, so, Nadia! You want her back! We can do that! We just need you to do this one last job. Which is what got Brad Pitt into a lot of trouble in "The Mexican."
Then Peyton, all healthy and alive and shit, goes to see Anna Espinosa at this prison with this young Kendall-looking guy. She wants to hire Anna. Bitch.
Syd has the most beautiful baby OF ALL TIME. Even though she's ginormous for four weeks old. But oh my god, the beauty. We think she's being attacked 'cause something goes boom, but it's Daddy, knocking over knives. He's like, OMG SYD, You don't leave weapons around a baby! And She's like, um, Dad? She's four weeks old. Not so much with the SITTING UP, let along GRABBING sharp objects. And he's like, YOUNG BRISTOW WOMEN SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM KNIVES, and I slapped my hand to my mouth to shut up my laughter and knocked my ring into my tooth and it hurts still. Ow.
The guys in Minsk, they want to make Sloane make Syd do something. But she's in out of the field, because of the unnamed baby. They're all, you know, we can find incentives for Syd to come back. Oh yes we can.
Goddammit, Will! You're supposed to know better than that! You don't let those kind of people into the house! They wouldn't just saunter up to the door!
The creepy doctor that got all the memories out of Syd shot up Will with something bad, and Peyton obviously thinks Will is hot. I am afraid of what they'll do.
Sloane and Daddy tell Syd that Will's been taken, and that it was Anna that did it, and it took Syd about ten seconds to make the decision that Will was going to bring her back to work because maternity leave < Will. And she's kinda right. Sloane looks kinda guilty.
But omg those babysitters! I died laughing. All their equipment- and the baby! Her name is Isabelle! Oh, my heart soared!
Jen Garner is delightful with that baby, and Isabelle is too beautiful for words. And I can't wait for everything to be nice and safe.

Oh man, what an awesome mission. They started with Jim Morrison singing "Riders on the Storm" and they Syd did one of those totally ridiculous George of the Jungle things and Rachel looks adorable and Balthazar looked none too shabby either. Damn Dixon's dreads.
They were looking for the guy who was giving money to Anna for Will, or something, and it involved Syd telling a guy off by saying she can't have alcohol while breastfeeding, (oh, HEE.) and Rachel flirting with the guy before Balthazar came to yell at his wife. She slapped him and stormed off, and Balthazar turned to the guy and was like, I'm sorry... my wife is a bit of a whore.
They are so going out. And I love it.
And then! Syd found Will upstairs, and it was totally remiscent of the girly scream, and he was all, Syd, behind you, and they fight, and Syd gets cut, and suddenly she's all *body head signature* and they got the same thing from Anna, and it's all weird and stuff, and oh well. It's no good.
Will and Syd! On the plane! He has a fiancée, the painter! It's so cute, and I'm so excited.
Sloane is orchestrating everything and bad, but oh well. I love him anyway. I mean, he's working with A2.0, and they're with Prophet Five, and oh, it's a whole lotta no good.
Syd takes Will home to meet Isabelle- Uncle Will! And he has a bomb in his head, turns out. That would kill him, and only him. And it's damn Anna's fault. Stupid bitch and the goddamn group of Prophet Five that Sloane works for! Arg!
And what's great, and I loved, was that Syd was all, I had to lie to Will. About Vaughn being dead. And it sucks. And Daddy's like, um, hello, we have to lie. It's keeping Vaughn safe, and that's, um, kinda important, yes? So lying? It's A-Okay, babe.
They changed page 47 completely. Like, it looks only like Syd. Much prettier, but very different. And they told Rachel about Rambaldi, and she thinks it's crazy. Which is is, of course, but we're all used to it.
Syd and Will went on a great mission, where they dressed like a rich cou0ple, and they obviously hired some new dialogue writers, because it was awesome. He wants Syd to be his best man when he marries "his girl" back home. I was tickled. But then he was like, you have so little faith in me you think I'm going to die? I don't want you to be my best man anymore!
Oh, and he has a bomb in his head, remember? Yeah. And he's kinda like it out of there. He was real insistant during the meeting. So they go to get the codes, because he's very, very keen on not having his head blown up.
So Anna and Syd fight, and Syd turns on the bomb! In his head! And it starts to tick and everything! And Will spazzes out, rightfully so, but Syd turned it off at two, like I knew she would.
And then Anna locked her into a car with this... red stuff.... coming out of the sprinklers. And kissed the glass, just like season one! Oh, you writers you. So brilliant, watching the old DVDs.
So, um, I can't even give a coherent thought to that. Will saved Syd from the red juice and stuff, but, you know. Cells were slicked off her body and that's enough for doubling people. Oh, Alias. You're fabulous.
Anna throws the detonator for Will's head out the window door thing we last saw in APO I last season, and Syd and Will jump to save it. And Syd actually finds it, which is ridiculous, but fabulous. I love this show so much.
Anyway, they're going to double Anna and turn her into Syd by putting her in bactaaaaaaaa, Sloane's done enough for the guys to get them go bring! back! Nadia, and instead of ending on Nadia's beautiful visage, we ended on damn Anna waking up as Syd. Fuck. The Helix Protocol's a bitch, isn't it? But... my mom was all, oh, Sloane's so bad, doing this all, and I was like, hello? That means it'll bring Nadia back. He could essentially give someone over to be sacrificed and I'd accept it if it brought back Nadia.
And Will and Syd walking in a garden, and Syd's all, oh, meh, if you'd never met me, you'd be normal! And he's all, so, if I hadn't helped a clumsy girl pick up her books in freshman bio, sure, I wouldn't have been kidnapped and tortured and whatnot, but I wouldn't know you and... it evens out. Or something. Lord almighty, do I love Will.
Honestly? One of the better episodes dialogue-wise (WITTY WILL, HOW I LOVE YOU) and mission-wise. Yaaay!

Haha, thought the same thing. Way too Ginormous.
And SPYDADDY was sooooooo adorable in that first scene with the knives. OMG SOOOO CUTE!!!
Yeah, um, who the heck is Will's painter? And how could Syd know her?? He's been in witness protection for two years. He's not suppose to know the same people any more.
And yeah, Will is just wonderful. I love him so much. Good lord! He's so funny and dorky but so hot. Oooh. Love.

Oh, Will and Syd saw one another for an episode in Season Three, and she found out that he was kind of interested in this painter lady, but he had yet to ask her out. So, he's been stuck in Wisconsin all along, poor lamb. He better call her. In my head, her name is Christine.
And Will is SO ridiculously wonderful it's kind of painful. He needs to be there FOREVER and EVER.

It was the most insane dubbing, though, because insttead of casting separate male and female artists, they have one guy doing all the voices.
Vaughn: I love you.
Syd: (low voice, fast Polish) I love you, too.
So, what's the deal with Vaughn? He's not dead, just in hiding?

His whereabouts were revealed in "Maternal Instincts," which was the second one last week, and he's chilling with a bunch of monks in Bhutan. And it definitely was whatever Syd made Vaughn drink at the hospital. I guessed as much (eventually) after watching the emphasis on the glass in 5.01, and then it was affirmed in "The Horizon" when they made an extra super big deal about it, and everything made a lot of sense, like their farewells. And Syd definitely wasn't sad enough for a widow. That girl cries for everything!
