sunshine_queenSo, I go to respond to comments on my previous post and... oh no. LJ doesn't recognize me. I'm not logged in, for some reason. So I log in, making sure to press "remember me." So, I do the same thing the next day. ... and the same thing happens.
This irks me to no end.
*sigh* Today I missed the Argentina/Mexico game because my mom said, "Do you want to go car shopping with Daddy and me?" and I said yes, to her surprise, and we went car shopping.
So, we went to this Volkswagen dealership waaaay down south, and we're looking at Passats, but my mom is extra picky because she neeeeeeeds a stick shift. So, we were looking, and out the window I saw a mid-sized white BMW. And mostly joking, I asked my dad if we could look at it. Turned out it was a trade in from one of the guys who worked there- he decided he wanted a Touareg instead. So, we take a test drive in the BMW.
And my parents fell in love. It's a stick, six-speed, and it was glorious. So fast. So smooth. So wonderful.
But the guy at the dealership was all, omg, man, this is a bargain at [whatever price he said.] But only if you buy today. And my parents were like, hold that thought, and we went to the BMW dealership a little futher north.
At the BMW place, they said that they only had one stick shift on the whole lot, and it had just gotten in a few days ago. So my mom asked what color it was, since it was the same make (325i).
It was white, with cream interior, just like the car we loved.
And it was brand new, and it was less than the guy said it was at the VW place.
So my parents, who are like, punch-drunk with money, bought the car. We're picking it up on Monday afternoon.
And then we went to dinner.
Then Tata came over and we watched Dodgeball and she said she really liked the glasses (YAY!) so I feel much better.
Also, I found out that everyone's getting their rooming assignments from UF, except me. Instead, I got an email saying that because there were no spaces available in any of my first three choices, they were postponing my housing assignment until, hopefully, someone cancelled. Although they promised they did have space for me. Joy of joys, dude.
And? Honestly. How appropriate is this challenge?

Date: 2006-06-26 02:53 am (UTC)For the summer I'm doing the double room and then the four to a bathroom. I can so deal with this. The communal bathroom? Uhhhh. Not so much. I mean, if I had it, I'm sure I'd stick it out, but I'd rather not have to test my flexibility.
