Oct. 9th, 2006 12:55 amI just happen to suck at updating.
It was homecoming this weekend, so my parents and sister came up (YAY) and we went to Gator Growl and the game and it was all fabulous. The two comedians that came to GG were hysterical- I'm still saying "hot pockeeeeeets". And the funny thing was that I found that I never liked football before, but the idea of skipping a game- the homecoming game, no less- was completely abhorrent. Even though my mom was in town, I had to go to the game. And it was so intense and we beat LSU so bad.
It was nice to see my family- I miss everyone so much. My mom brought all sorts of things to beautify my room, including six posters and curtains and a dehumidifier (which has its work cut out for it) and I got a dress for my cousin's wedding- it's so beautiful!
My mom also brought me the Alias mag and I actually read this one (usually I'm awful and just look at the pretty, pretty pictures.) It was very nice and they had cute interviews with just about everyone... huh, not with Carl Lumbly (whom Jen Garner thinks should be president) or Grunberg or Lena, but with Jen and Victor and Vartan and my love, Mia. Very nice overall.
Then Chang was in town, so I spent all afternoon with her and Corinne, which culminated in dinner at The Swamp, and it was so nice, and I miss Chang Chang so much.
Then I came back to my room and Chloe and I invited Katie over, and we watched the Alias pilot. I got them hooked. I win at life, guys.
Can I just say that when Sally Field lays a smackdown, she does it like no other? I watched the whole scene repeating "Well played, Sally Field. Well played." I mean, there was Dr Barnett, in this fabulous dress that I covet, and everyone's all, omg Sally if BFFs with Papa Walker's mistress, omg, and poor Sloane felt awful guilty, and then suddenly Sally's all, oh, everyone thinks I'm dumb and that I don't know that my new BFF is Papa Walker's mistress and all my kids are dumb and oh man. Well played, Sally Field.
And Sarah's kid? The girl? I want her dead. I hate her and her stupid face and her stupid voice and her fear of swimming. Sure, it's a legitimate hang up, but I still hate her.
Looove Balthazar, though. He is fabulous.
And I even feel something for Calista. Even though the whole stupid cheating thing sucked. Honestly. Her nonfiancé looked like a robot from the 70s, and the democrat was funny looking too, and oh man.
And Justin! Why would you tell Kitty? You had to know she would tell one, who would tell the next, and then... not Balthazar. I hate you, Sarah. I hate you and your ugly dress and your husband whose head is too small for his shoulders. I like your little boy. And seriously, what is up with firing people without talking to Balthazar. Like, I get it, you thought you were doing a good thing, but you aren't exactly the employee with the longest standing. And... hi. Papa Walker totally made you head of the company so that you could take the fall and not Balthazar. Just accept it. And don't make big decisions without Balthazar. AND STOP BEING A BITCH. I hate how snotty she is about the company. I just- arg. I see nothing redeeming about Sarah.
(Let me just say that I type that with the full knowledge that someday I might look at this entry and cry because Sarah is now my favorite character and how could I have been so bliiiiind? But for now? Hate.)
And the idea of Sloane and Dr Barnett getting it on again... both delights and skeeves me out. Ron had a lot to do this week, which made me happy. I love him and his dapper suits and Ralph Lauren sweaters and general fabulousness. And Sally kept calling him Saully (would it be spelled Solly? It's possible.) Either way, it was super cute. Though I don't how she got Nora and he got saddled with Saul, but whatever.
Long live la familia Walker!
