Oct. 29th, 2006 05:25 pm1) I have left my building exactly once in two days, and that was to get lunch across University, so I was out for about twenty minutes.
2) The Gators beat Georgia, so we are now ranked #4.
3) My cold is getting better, but I'm still not too great.
4) I took a shower and got right back into pajamas, but I might have to rethink this as I have nothing to eat for dinner here.
5) I am alarmingly bored, so I reread Yahtzee's "Bind Them with Fury," which took a few hours and was worth it, but now it's over.
6) Sometimes iTunes is very disappointing.
7) The fourth stanza of 'Take this Waltz' is... beyond description. When the woman joins Leonard Cohen, their harmony is just haunting, and the words are amazing... and really, if anyone wants it, just comment because I will so yousendit... it, because everyone should hear it.
8) Brothers and Sisters is on tonight and I WILL NOT FORGET. I forgot two weeks ago and I missed it last week, but not this week!
9) I am unsuccessful at writing fic. I've been trying.
10) I watched "Dear Emily and Richard," and... oh my god. Why aren't Kelly Bishop and Edward Herrmann inundated with accolades? I guess in a world where Victor Garber is tragically overlooked, and Sela Ward is criminally underused that I shouldn't expect the world to be kind to the best actors on Gilmore Girls, but seriously? In the scene where the Gilmores and the Haydens are talking about Lorelai's being knocked up, and Papa Gilmore is just... sitting there? Stunned? And you can see that every dream he's ever had for his daughter has been completely destroyed and he actually has no idea what to do... it was pretty close to Victor Garber's skill. Not quite, but it was approaching. And Emily, in that awful outfit, when she read the note (! OMG LOR YOU ARE AWFUL) that she left for her parents about leaving with Rory- ah-may-zing.
11) I want Chloe to come back! It's lonesome without my roommate.

Date: 2006-10-30 01:31 am (UTC)I am a great big fan of the second two... not so much of Marianne, but things grow on me, so don't take that as law just yet.
And I like how there are three Leonard Cohens and like, 97 Toris. It's funny.

Date: 2006-10-30 01:33 am (UTC)I love So Long, Marianne. It took awhile for it to grow on me, but now I am just completely in love with it. It's a little chipper for Leonard, which is pleasant. :D
