Nov. 29th, 2006 01:37 amSo, my spanish oral tomorrow, and I really shouldn't be freaking out as much as I am. (... which is not too much, FYI.) It's ten minutes of talking with another girl from my class and our professor, and it's on topics we know, and I know I can speak in the simple phrases we need... when my brain works. Today when we were practicing, I'd forget the word in spanish and substitute it with French, and my brain thought this was totally cool. It was all, it's not english, man! It's all good! When really, I can't say "mais" all the time. Or "avant" or "dernier." Jesus. Jess, if you're around before 5:20 tomorrow, I'd love if you would call me so I can... get your help.
Tonight's House was pretty fantastic. I went to Ollie's room with Katie and Chloe and we watched with those mentioned, Chelsea, Amanda, Laura and... Ollie's neighbor whose name escapes me. Jen? We had fun. Me and Ollie were on the top bunk of dooooooom.
1- I loved Cuddy. LOVED. Mostly because she was like, 7/10ths SpyDaddy with that little girl named Alice.
2- That Tritter is crafty. Horrible and evil, but damned if he didn't know exactly how to play everyone.
3- And dammit, I was all prepped to hate Wilson passionately, but then he went to Tritter because of what House had done to Cuddy and Chase and oh man. And when he said he needed thirty pieces of silver? Oh, Jimmy Wilson, you own my soul.
4- The doctory stuff was pretty great, too. Crazy that that crap was going on, but still good. And Chase figured it out!
5- Oh, Chase. He will never live that Vogler thing down. And wow, did everything bite him in the ass.
6- Houuuuuse. Oh my god, you were on assy overtime. That was like whoa. Especially to Cuddy.

Cuddy was awesome. I'm going to have to watch it again tomorrow (when I skip my history discussion b/c I did not read the assigned chapters). I really want to have a baby for her. Like, I'd totally get preggers for her and send her the baby. (except not for real. but y'know.)

Date: 2006-11-29 04:44 pm (UTC)Today, during my interview, I said "muy" instead of "tres"! But I totally corrected myself and went, "Oops! That's Spanish!" And then I said the sentence over.

Date: 2006-11-29 12:43 pm (UTC)LOL at the random French words. I was doing the exact same thing, inserting "mais" and not realising. I don't do it regularly now, but often a word from one language will slip out when I'm speaking another. (Recently it's been Russian words in my Spanish class, which is not helpful! :D) Your brain will learn that they're different languages as you get more comfortable with Spanish, though.
