Them blowing up the library was... well, it was akin to losing Miss Calendar. Really. Very nearly how strongly I felt when- when Syd's apt! When we found out it was lost in the fire! I was even- yes! I was even a bit sad to see Snyder get eaten!

That said, Giles? Is a stone-cold fox. I mean, omg. The glasses. And the new suits. And, even occasionally, Casual!Giles (which I don't much like, but can appreciate.) Fencing!Giles. Haaaandsome Giles. His new glasses and... and... yum. I feel sick and wrong for loving him as I do, he's like, two years younger than my mother. But haaaaandsome!

And Angel's leaving to get his own series but really, once Buffy referred to him as "my lover" outloud to someone I realized it was time for him to go. Although I really, really love that he called Giles to come when Buffy was in the hospital, although I am realizing now that even though he would have done it anyway, Mama Summers being out of town probably had something to do with it. But I do think Giles should always be alerted when it comes to Buffy, because he loves her best. Even if he doesn't hug her (!) or use endearments. He means them.

I was picturing how useful Miss Calendar would've been in that fight, but then I got to thinking that Joss might have killed her then, and probably with something really quick, like her being gobbled up by the mayor (who, HEE! giant sea monster looking thing!) or like, eaten by a vamp. And that would've been entirely lame. But Miss Calendar at the prom! Miss Calendar at graduation!... MISS CALENDAR AT PROM.

Let us also lament the fact that Willow pulled a Topanga and stayed in Sunnydale when dammit all, she could have had a brilliant future! Somewhere else! Dammit, Willow! (And also, it was kind of entirely random to make Cordy poor just 'cause. I mean, it was absolutely too cute for words when Xander finished paying off Cordy's dress, but, really? Totally bizarre.)

And, um, other than that... onwards to season four! The pictures on the box of Giles scare me, but hopefully he will maintain his devastatingly handsome good looks for the duration of this season. I guess he's like Mr Feeny in that he will continue on with the Scoobies at college. OMG WHERE WILL HE WORK?!? HIS LIBRARY IS GONE!! At least they got out his books. I take comfort in that.

Man, I can't believe I failed to comment on Giles's face! He was like, seriously? You killed Jenny and now you sucked Buffy dry. Just... go drop dead. Now.

Joss is evil. He might very well have had the mayor like, kill her to get back at them for Faith.

OH GOD THE LIBRARY. Just . . . yeah. :( I miss you, library!! Giles' apartment and the Magic Box aren't nearly as cool as Scooby hangouts, although you kinda get used to them.

The idea of Jenny just getting this random quick death at graduation makes me so sad that I'm almost relieved she died the way she did. Which is, you know, saying something. Because OH that would have been horrible.

Cordy had to lose all of her money so she could go be a poor talentless aspiring actress in L.A. on Angel! It's just the way the world turns, my friend. And, aw, she and Xander are so cute in the prom episode. Even though it still kind of makes me a little sad that they never got back together.

I am entirely smitten with Giles. Enamoured, you might say.

I KNOW, okay. I was devastated at my own thought process.

And blech. Poor Cordy! She needs her nice things!

I have yet to see Giles. My mind is not at ease. I need an icon of prom!Giles. Also, from the credits, they removed Giles and his Miss Calendar rose! O I am slain.
