It's nice to be home, in that I have my own shower and I get Telemundo so I can watch Caso Cerrado (! Nothing is better than what boils down to Judge Judy in Spanish. Only Ana Maria Polo is a hundred times cooler than any American judge could ever be.) and I have my dog and my own nice room. The bad part about being home is that I'm... well. Home. And that's it, there's no going back up to Gainesville until school starts again.

Octavius got neutered yesterday and so now he has a phonograph hat on becaue he is stupid and all but licked out his stitches. He is very, very cute.

Also, I didn't think it was possible, but I miss eating out all the time. Having to fix stuff for myself here is bizarre.

I watched the first three episodes of season six of Buffy and I am not too thrilled. I am pleased with how they're handling Buffy coming back from the dead, and that she told Spike that she was in heaven, because omg love Spike, aaaand I got to hear my favorite speech of all time from that show.

The Alias ficathon is due soon and I don't even have the slightest clue of what to do. Dooooom.

You should cook something. :P Find something yummy of Giada's; her stuff always works and is easy.

Yay for you being home, though!

I was actually considering it! I'm trying to lose weight, though, which precludes a lot of delectableness. I crave polenta.

Some of Giada's stuff is actually pretty healthy, as long as you go easy on the cheese and/or chocolate. :D She had some nice salads and vegetable dishes, and some great seafood ones too. Browse for her at the Food Network website. (She makes polenta in several incarnations, yeah, but that isn't going to help with the diet. :D Maybe make it for yourself as a reward for eating well for a while or something?)

Yeah, we already decided I'm going to make polenta tomorrow for dinner, so yaaay. And possibly a dessert, but I can't really find one I like that's small enough to last us just one night.

Yay! Let me know how the polenta goes. (And if it stresses you out, Aunt Sandy has PLENTY of "cocktail time!" recipes that will help. :P) Giada's polenta?

You can always make half-recipes of desserts, too -- not so much with cakes, because they don't rise right and it's hard to get a half-size pan; but cookies, cupcakes, even trifles and stuff all work. And some desserts are better the second day anyway, like tiramisu, which you have to make in advance so the flavours have time to mingle. Desserts are FUN; I envy you! I'd much rather be baking than studying. :D

I'm making the fried polenta- judge away, I've wanted it since I saw her do it like, two years ago- and I was going to use her recipe, but my mom has a recipe that involves putting it in the oven and leaving it alone, as opposed to standing over it and stirring for hours, so I went with that. I'll let you know how the frying goes.

Why would I judge? I WANT. :D I'm just terrified of deep frying. Good luck with the making!

Are we going to get pics of this cat? I don't think we've seen any yet.

Sigh. Home. I hope I'll get used to being here again just like I had to get used to being up there before.

I think SMG just sucks at acting. So. That made season 6 pretty terrible. And Giles. I was so disappointed with him. And towards the end? All the stuff that goes down? Not stuff I'm happy about.

But, in season 6 there is Once More with Feeling and Tabula Rasa and those those make season 6.

I hate when that happens in a season, where you want to gripe about how the whole season just BLOWS, but then you realize, "Oh, wait, it has some good episodes, I can't hate it." So either you have to go around saying, "I hate season X, except for [episodes]" or "Season X isn't so bad" (even if it is).

See, I've really overthought this. Plus I have finals over the next week and I'm trying to find anything better to do than study.

I'm surprised I never showed you any! I know I tormented Chloe with them, but I guess it was a proximity thing.

Sassy Gellar isn't my favorite, but I like her okay. Plus, she was originally Kendall Hart on All My Children, my favorite soap ever, so I remember her from when she was relatively weensy and I was teeny tiny, so she has a spot in my heart. Also, I MISS GILES ALREADY OMG. He leeeeeeft. And Anya... she can do a lot, but I don't think she can make up for Giles being gone! Waaah.

Ayyyy, I miss you!
