What's new in my life:

1- I failed my driving test Friday, because I am a WINNER.
A- I am nineteen and unlicensed.
B- I hit a cone.

2- I passed my driving test today, and am now a licensed driver. So there, cones!
2.5- So Jess owes me $10. I already talked to her about it. ;)

3- I saw The Bourne Ultimatum on Saturday morning. It was the most intensely awesome film I have seen in a long, LONG time. Purely 100% amazing. and that was based on a viewing of The Bourne Identity, like, four years ago and me seeing the opening of The Bourne Supremacy last year. I went into the movie knowing very little and managed to enjoy the hell out of it.

4- I am now, um, slightly obsessed with it. I bought this little dealy thing of the first two movies and I marathoned them with the fam last night and... omg amazing.

5- Jason/Marie. Forever. Best. Winnnnnn.

5.5- Even if the damn movie writers wanted to eff with it. Stupid writers. Who win me back. Curse my easy heart!

6- And barring that, Jason/Nicky.

7- There is such a sad lack of fic and icons. Happily, [livejournal.com profile] thepodsquad supplies me with icons because she is a goddess. GODDESS.

7.5- I'm a bit punchy, have you noticed?

8- I love spy stuff. Really. I haven't watched a single James Bond fic, but I bet I would like it. And, duh, Alias.

8.5- Speaking of Alias, I'm hosting this week's episode at [livejournal.com profile] the_retelling and it's not as horrifying as I thought it'd be! It's so much fun.

9- Carol's party was Saturday night, and it was fun. I hung out mostly with Chang, who I love to absolute death. I so wish she went to UF.

10- With my license, the first place I drove sans adult was Talisa's, just like she drove to my house. That was good.

11- Going back to school the 17th. Winnnnn.

12- - No, seriously, guys, rent the Bourne stuff. It's so freaking good. I already ranted to poor Hannah about how amazing it was, but, honestly. Do yourself a favor.

Although I have to admit the only thing I don't like is that none of the baddies chasing Bourne are girls. :P (Well, none of the gun-wielding karate chopping ones, anyway, and Pamela Landy's a good guy at any rate). Do they not think women can kick butt too? Sydney Bristow could so have given Bourne a run for his money. :P

I think Sydney is about the only one that could, though. Jason Bourne is just... he blows my mind. Seriously.

I'm so glad I know someone else who's a fan! I'm asking around like crazy.

You have really made me want to go and see BS now. If it kicks ass - I'm in.

Oh, and congrats for getting your licence! I have three more months until I can get mine. But for now I'm just a Loser, lol.

Congratulations again! I will mail your $10 today, even though I don't actually recall this bet. :D I suppose I should pay more attention to what I say.

Regardining point 8, how do you watch a fic, and will you teach me? :P

Hee, whoops.

Dude. We were in the car after Ollie and I picked you up from the airport, and you were both making fun of how I didn't have my license, and then I said I was going to get it eventually, and then you said something about how you bet $10 I wouldn't get it before school started again. And then Ollie was like, way to push her, chief.

You don't need to send me the money, I just expected you *~*remember*~* the conversation.

Eee, congratulations! You gave me hope. :D I will be 19 and unlicensed too, because I am not getting it until next summer. Boo.

And now I totally want to see those movies. I have a friend who is obsessed and has been bugging me to see the newest one, so I might just give in. I only saw the second one, but I am moreorless positive I fell asleep.

About fifteen minutes in to the second one the worst thing I could've posssssssibly imagined happened, so I stopped watching out of loyalty. But then I read such an amazing review of the third one that when my parents expressed an interest, I was all for it. And... omg amazing. AMAZING. PLEASE GO SEE IT CRYSSAAAAAAAAAAAA!

And LOL! Why don't you drive? I used to be terrified to the point of tears, but I finally overcame it. No shame, Cryssa.

I used to be terrified, and I guess I still am. I mean, I have gotten over it enough to want to drive, but if I was actually on the road with other drivers I might go into cardiac arrest. I have driven before, but only in rural Virginia. When I had to face other drivers there, I screwed up because of nerves.

Now why don't I have a license? Because my mother is a cheap bastard and doesn't want me on her insurance. I am going to a bike-friendly (to put it very lightly) school and they don't allow freshman to get parking permits ect to discourage us from bringing cars. So, yes, I will have to wait until NEXT summer, because we only have on-campus housing first year.

Thanks for the words of encouragement :D

Oh, dude, my parents were totally cheap. They told me they didn't want me driving at all til I was seventeen, so then I got my permit... but they weren't too big on me driving, and I was terrified, so yeah. BUt the insurance also played a part. And my uni was the same- bike/walking friendly, and cars not so much encouraged.

I was absolutely terrified of other cars. When I would drive in my relatively quiet neighborhood, I would like, tense up and be completely horrified. Finally my mom got me a lesson, and it helped so so so much to be with someone who basically trusted me to drive. He had a brake on his side of the car, so there was that too, but he didn't like, gasp or grip the armrest whenever I did anything like my mom. And now I'm pretty damn comfortable, driving in 1996 van. Woo.

You can do it! :-D

(Also, I can't say it enough: Bourne. Booooourne.)
